The stories are not to long and the cutting does not seem to intricate for some of the stories.

The kids and I really enjoyed this book, though I think that my kids will enjoy it even more when they're a little older (currently 5 and younger) and are able to draw the lines themselves. Our favorites were the alligator and the spider. Cute stories pull the kids in and then the end of the story is explained when you open up your cut out. Great for developing those fine motor skills and just plain fun. =)
