Kind of outdated material. It took me a while to get going with this book, but I wanted to read it cover to cover by the end of this year. The book is dated because of DR and cloud it’s a moot point and clustering beats SMP hands down. In addition the book reads more as a dissertation and it’s verbose in the point it’s trying to make. Overall a good one for those technically interested in the history and good discussion on SMP architecture.
