As a beginning quilter, I've found this book excellent - clear instructions, great layout and good photos. Highly recommended.

This is the second book I have read from the authors: Pam and Nicky Lintott. As it’s so similar in format and design I’ll recycle the same review from “Jelly Roll Quilts”. Please note: even though it’s by the same authors and I am recycling the review that it is a completely different book. Different patterns and a completely different spin. This one has you cutting the roll once but making two smaller size quilts. Genius! I’m thrilled I have both books in my craft room. They complement each other nicely.
Recycled review:
So I do not only hoard books (is it hoarding if they are read? Asking for a friend…me) I also hoard fabric. I do not need to have a project in mind either. If I see a fabric I like I buy it. Sometimes more than one yard. Then the fabric cutter at Hobby Lobby asks me, innocently, what project I’m working on. Me, always forgetting they ask this question, have a split second to come up with a lie. I cannot tell them I just needed that fabric in my craft room. Am I alone in this? Surely somebody else does this.
Anyhoo…Jelly Roll fabrics were my latest obsession. It’s strips of different fabric designs arranged beautifully in something reminiscent of a jelly roll . The kind you eat. Even though they are beautiful to look at I knew I had to do something with them.
Then I found this book. Not only is it informative but it has some really pretty quilts that I cannot wait to make.
The instructions appear to be clear and concise. And the pictures are simply gorgeous. My taste in fabric is displayed quite often. If you quilt you know how hard it is to see a quilt pattern in fabric you abhor; so much so you can’t decide if that is the quilt pattern for you or not.
I’m quite happy with this book.

How to use one jelly roll to make two quilt tops. Fun patterns and detailed instructions, but definitely for the more experienced quilter!
