Seems like a very nice resource for doing what it's supposed to do. Particularly like the information on the best times to go, and the resource sections. Aimed at the more budget-concious traveler and it's reasonably honest, only plugging rough guides a few times. Just view it, like all travel guides with eyes wide open and brain on full.
Four and a half stars. An excellent overall guide to Asia. Can't go into detail on any one country and as a result has to make a lot of generalizations, but very solid advice in all the basics from money to health to accomodation to transportation for folks who have travelled mostly in Europe or North America. Very useful for when you are first contemplating where to go in Asia.
An excellent place to start when planning a trip to Asia, even if you don't yet know where you'd like to go, the book suggests itineraries based on your interests, budget and how long you can go for. Great all-round solid, practical advice.
