IMHO one of the best intros to psychology around. It is much more interesting to ground ones thoughts in the "great ideas" than providing an overview of the entire field (which is monstrously huge). If ever I teach Intro again, It will only be if I am allowed to use this book (which will never happen, but one can dream). A refreshing take on developing an understanding of what psychology is all about.

There was like one good spot. Recommended only if you're bored or you count listening to books as reading books. "I went to church and read a sermon." "That was an interesting movie I read." Whatever. Reading is reading. Listening is listening.

A solid, albeit dry listing of the various foundational concepts in psychology.

This is another 'textbook' which I read for my psychology course. I put textbook in quotations because it is more like a novel. I liked the writing because it was almost like a narrative which made it more fun to learn psychology.
