Enforce Christianity in a nation with multiple religions, what a brilliant idea! .... This is the most misleading title for a book that I've come across. It should be titled "Christianity and the Founding Fathers". Here I thought that there'd be logical discussion of the actual education on geography, politics that the founding fathers received. Instead, it simply covers their religious bigotry and Christian upbringing. Really, the Bible provided them their entire education? Why on earth would we resort back to ignorant religious discrimination from hundreds of years ago? From a time when various groups of people weren't even acquainted with each other and women didn't have rights? How about at least mentioning Jefferson's being chosen as author for the Declaration, Constitution because he read all of the great literature by philosophers and political figures? There's not one mention of the books that Jefferson credits for his smarts. Franklins discoveries simply stemmed from the Bible? Ridiculous. If the Bible was credit for the founding father's smarts, then why are so many christians and bible thumpers ignorant, geographically speaking? The founding fathers were not. They were well read, and yes far broader than through the Bible.
