Dobson says that you must first have a strong foundation in time management and priority setting, then introduces the concept of Portfolio Management to timeline multiple projects, determine their resource requirements, and handle emergencies, putting you in charge for possibly the first time in your life! The Juggler's Guide to Managing Multiple Projects does not forget the paperwork. Dobson supplies examples of business-tested forms, charts, logs, tables, and worksheets-everything project managers need to crash, level, analyze, plan, and control tasks. Forms were never better explained or illustrated.
Michael Singer Dobson is an American author who writes on Business (particularly office politics and project management). He also has written Alternate History novels (relating to WWII) and Role-playing game adventures (D&D, Indiana Jones, and Buck Rogers XXVC).
Dor someone who has never worked in a project, this is a light weight introduction. For a trained PM who wants some insight in how to manage multiple projects, it is pretty useless. Focus is on single project management, and the only times multiple projects are actually adressed it's from the perspective of a portfolio manager who coordinate project managers.
