Ichigo is a series about family, nature and love.

Ichigo (lit. strawberry) is a 5th grader who suffers from eczema. Infact, her face is so torn with rash that it resembles a strawberry.

Her parents have tried everything to cure her, and the doctors don't understand the cause.

Her father decides to quit his job as a salaryman, move to the mountains and start his own business. He tells Ichigo that the mountain air will cure her skin condition.

The series depicts Ichigo's growth as she comes into contact with the people of the village and the animals in the mountains (the latter of which with Ichigo seems to have a very special connection with).

This book is a story of a girl that lives in the mountain and her mother is in a very bad condition. I liked this book because I like the setting that is in the mountain and she lives with Hikarus family and her father, and the boy Hikaru could speak to animals and plants and I think speaking to animals to animals is a very cool talent.
