At 188 pages this is snack size and a palate cleanser.
1. I personally hate the cover, but it is from 1982.
2. Age gap “romance” here. Jared is 33. Suzanne turns 21 in the middle of the book. It is eye in Vermont than in Italy.
3. Step mom Delia is obnoxious as well as mean/insecure. Her real purpose of her antics by the end of this story isn’t flushed out, but I hated her so who cares.
4. There is kissing and groping in this book. As well as almost sexy times, but it stops, repeatedly. By end of book they want to wait to have sex. Um ok?
5. This wasn’t good. Hahaha. But I finished it.
I love these older romances. They are usually terrible and don’t age well.
This one has the phrase “throbbing breasts.” What even is that?! Hahaha
Oh and the “ I love you “ is random. Like how can you love this person you just met and know so little about and have spent little time with?!
The description of this book is misleading and makes it seem more dramatic and exciting. Suzanne even try to compete with anyone in this.
Don’t go out of your way to find this classic, but if it lands in your vicinity spend 0.25$ on it or less. I can’t believe this was $1.75 when it came out. Not worth that at all.
