Die gute alte Zeit
Ganz so gut war die alte Zeit nun auch wieder nicht. Im Gegenteil - was Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts und die 100 Jahre darauf in China passierte, passt auf keine Kuhhaut. Ein stolzes, jahrtausende altes Reich bricht praktisch in sich zusammen, wird von innen und außen angegriffen und am Ende auf schlimmste Weise gedemütigt. Nie war China so weit unten wie an der Jahrhundertwende.
