A decent and comprehensive retelling of two Greek myths, accompanied by classical-style illustrations. The first is Theseus & the Minotaur, the second is Perseus and Medusa. I already knew both stories well, but the latter encompasses rather more than I remembered, with Danae arriving in a crate and Medusa's petrifying gaze being used on the wicked king and his minions rather than the Kraken. A nice twist ;) I'm sure most children would enjoy both these stories which are told briskly enough and illustrated attractively. There's even a labyrinth inside the back cover. 5/5

This, and its companion book, introduced me to the Greek myths and I have been fascinated by them ever since.

Another Ladybird classic. A brief retelling of 2 classic myths, Theseus and the Minotaur + Perseus and Medusa with some great illustrations. A nice slice of nostalgia.
