Some delicious sex scenes. It's just that I don't like the whole concept of inner demon/goddess/dragon/bear/wolf/or anything.

And from what he could gather, she needed him as well. I more than need her. I want her for all eternity. HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THINGS DEMONICALLY HOT & OH SO YUMMY! Mandy M. Roth conquers again! Boy oh boy, does she ever!! She sure knows how to amaze, astound, impress & blow me away with every single book of hers I read! There is no way that you can possibly say that Mandy has only one writing style or that her books follow a 'pattern', are 'cookie cutter' or that you could ever feel like 'if you read one Mandy book, you have read them all'!! I can honestly say that I have never ever EVER read any story that could ever come close to this one! I did find it was written a little... hmmm... unusual I guess would be the best term to use, and that I felt a little lost or confused at first...until the bar scene and then everything fell into place! So I read through the book once, then promptly read it again! WHEW! Definitely a story WORTH reading time & again! It was waaaay hotter & sexier the second time! SOOOO HOT!! SOOOO AMAZING!! SOOOO AWESOME!! I don't want to ruin any part of the story, so I will sum it all up by saying that you can find almost everything you could ever want in a great paranormal story - naughty dreams (is there any other kind?!), humor of all kinds (including my personal fave - naughty humor), hot sex, demons, true friends, rich history, fate, destiny “You were there, Donatus. Deep in her mind.”, mates “Your heart, your entire being will know.” and so much more, which are all woven together to create this very deeply rich story that had me so spellbound. Pun fully intended. With the darker & intense tones to this story, you might think that having an abundance of attributes, creatures, feelings, emotions, history, the mix of mythology & paranormal that cover various 'worlds' would disrupt the flow of the story, making it feel disjointed, or too busy, but you forget one thing - the author is Mandy M. Roth!! As far as I am concerned, Mandy is the ONLY author that can do this, not only successfully but also magnificently! In typical Mandy fashion, I was thoroughly fascinated from the beginning and couldn't put it down until I was finished...for the SECOND TIME!!! Even though this story had a great flow to it, I did feel that a couple parts could have been expanded on and they almost had a feel that maybe they originally were longer & more detailed, but then edited down to a shorter version for some reason. Maybe that is just because I ALWAYS want Mandy's books to be longer. No matter how long they are, I love them all! The fact that Mandy writes paranormal stories is how I initially discovered her, but what keeps me here, captivated by her every word is the diversity, strength, creativity, wit, beauty, originality, depth & AWESOMENESS, just to name a few… Thankfully, when I ‘found’ her, she had a plentiful selection of books already out AND she releases them pretty frequently so I can always get my 'Mandy Fix' whether it be with new books, or the existing ones that I read over & over again! This is even more proof of just how astronomically & phenomenally talented Mandy is and why she is always at the top of my 'what to read next' list!

Different but still Awesome!
This was different from most of what I have read of Mandy's and I have read most of her stuff. It was still very good and like all of her books the world it was set in was well developed. I loved Ava's story and how cute she and Donatus were together. I would really love to see more books set in this world.

Wow! This is a fantastic book. Action, humour, hope, HEA, What more could you ask for except...MORE please.
I love Mandy Roth books and have read a lot of them, they are all good, but this is definitely one of the best. I actually bought this one at the beginning of April along with a lot of others (I was spending the last of my Christmas gift vouchers) and was about to start reading it when I got this copy from the author for review.
This book grabbed me on the first page and I got so engrossed in the story that I completely lost track of time. I started reading in the morning when my partner went to work and before I knew it, he was home again, it was dinner time, and I was left wondering what happened to lunch.
This is an action packed and very steamy paranormal romance that brings future hope to a group of demons known as the Lost Warriors who, 300 years ago, rescued some very special children instead of killing them as ordered, and turned their backs on Satan. They took them to Valhalla for safety and left them with Odin. To the children, only 30 years have passed and they are now out in the real world fighting evil.
Ava Fenaly is half Valkyrie, half angel, Satan's greatest enemy and biggest fear, as he failed to kill her in a face-to-face battle a couple of months before. In an attempt to hide her, her friends and fellow Valkyrie have organised a new job as a Professor teaching Norse Mythology at the small but excellent Commilton University. On her first day she meets some of the other teachers, not realising that they are Lost Warriors, people she has sworn to protect because of their actions when she was a young child and the rest of her family was slaughtered by the demon Host.
Donatus Manlian is a 500+ year-old demon, head of the Religion and Mythology Departments and Ava's new boss. He has spent the last 300 years living a quiet life, along with others of his kind, Lost Warriors trying to make up for the evil they did as part of Satan's Host. He is also Ava's true mate.
The book starts with what seems to be a very steamy dream, but is a lot more than it appears. All is revealed as the story unfolds. I won't say more because it would give too many spoilers, but you really should read this book. It has humour, action, steamy romance, hope and the HEA that we all expect. Although it was written as a stand alone, I loved it so much that I really hope it gets turned into a series. I would be first in line for the next one, if there is to be a next one. I can only hope...

Never mind being hooked on first page. I was hooked on CHPT 1 LINE 1!!
WOW WEE!! TALK ABOUT SMOKING HOT!!
Donatus Manlian is a centuries old demon who has turned his back on Lucifer & on doing any evil. He & a few other demons like him (the Lost Warriors), are now protecting innocents from all evil in between doing their day jobs of being professor's at a local university.
Ava Fenaly has just been hired at the small but excellent university as a professor of Norse Mythology. She's the first female professor to be ever taken on. As it was an all male university.
OH!.... and she also happens to be half angel & half Valkyrie.
On Ava's first day while waiting to meet with the head of religious studies (Donatus, who's running late) she meets two other professors Gunter & Kal who she warms to straight away. But when he does finally arrive it seems he's tripping over thin air & cats got his tongue when he see's her.
To Donatus this is not the first time he's met Ava, it turns out she was the woman from his intense heated, sexual dream, in which he was in full demon form claiming her as his, & they both loved every moment together.
The thing is though.... WAS it a dream? Or did Ava really summon Donatus' demon into her bedroom & into her bed in the middle of the night & allow him to claim her?!!
I'm not gonna give away too much more of the storyline as it will give away too many spoilers. But this IS a MUST read this year.
I love reading Mandy M Roth's PNR books, the female lead is always a sassy ass kicking woman who doesn't need a man to defend her honor, in fact in this book Ava insists on defending the men against the evil thinking their human, & she does it with style.
Donatus is your usual dominating alpha male who's sexy as sin ( & knows it!).
As always Mandy gives you a book that's full of witty banter, ass kicking action, hotter than hot sexual encounters plus a few romantic ones aswell. And as always the ending every gal wants THE HEA.
I really hope Mandy makes this into a series as I've not found other books to this, & give Gunter & Kal their own story, as the chemistry between them & Ava's girls was just as good as the main leads.
If I could, I would give this well & truly more than 5 stars.

This is a fantastic book, one that I would love to see made into a movie. The storyline goes as follows-
Ava is a professor hired to teach Norse Mythology at the University. Actually, she is one of the first of the women to be hired there since their doors had open for it used to be an all-male student school until it recently decided to allow women to join the ranks of students. Donatus is a very handsome man who also teaches at the University as well- he is the head of Ava’s department. Now here lies the pickle- Ava is half Valkyrie, half angel which means she goes after evil and that makes her Satan’s worst enemy and biggest fear. On the other hand, we have Donatus who is 500+ year old demon- you are probably thinking he is evil but he isn’t. He has spent the last 300 years or so living very quietly, along with others of his kind, the Lost Warriors who are trying to make up for the evil they did as part of Satan's Host. I am sure you are wondering where Ava comes into his life- well, she is his true mate but she does not know this.
When Ava meets Donatus for the first time she is enraptured by him. Added, the night before she had this crazy hot dream that sent her pulses going , left her very sodden and her bed needing to be replaced. And the story goes on from there and it is fantastic. Ava starts to feel uneasy because she feels evil looming and that tells her she has been found , when the last thing is she wants to do is run. This is a fantastic paranormal romance with action and good dose of humor. When reading this story, it made me think of the song by GIORGIO MORODER Feat Sia “Déjà vu”. There is a lyric in the song that reminds me of this story very well …”And in your/ loving arms/ Here we are/ Living the dream/ And all the love is fine/ I've known you for lifetime, baby/ Déjà vu..” Definitely sums this story up in a nut shell. Great story and I PRAY, HOPE the author writes follow up stories for the lost warriors. This is such a great storyline and the paranormal genre is fantastic.

Demonic Desires is a very good paranormal romance with a strong storyline and fascinating demonic characters. Mandy Roth is very good at creating captivating paranormal worlds with plots that grab your attention and keep you wanting more.
The first scene is a very hot erotic dream, or is it? Donates a warrior/demon has been trying to suppress his demonic side to walk on the path of peace/goodness for 300 years. He somehow finds his demon has been summoned and he is claiming and mating the woman who has spell has called him. One tiny issue is she is not fully awake and will she believe she is now his wife, carrying a child and that he is part demon.
Ava is also a supernatural "mutt" part angel part Valkyrie. She and her friends fight those who follow the devil and there are some pretty bad characters following her.
Ava goes undercover as a teacher of Norse Mythology at a school that seems to draw those with special powers/backgrounds. There she runs into another teacher, Donatus who reminds her a lot of her crazy dream the previous evening.
Without giving away too much of the plot the two now embark on a powerful journey, discovering love and just exactly who/what the other one is, suspense, danger, hot steamy love, good vs evil and acceptance.
A good fast paced read. The characters were interesting and a different kind of the supernatural beings that we are used to. I would have liked their backgrounds and histories to be flushed out a bit more as well a some additional world building including places like Valhalla. Some hunky -would like to know more about -secondary characters (Donatus' friends and fellow teachers) whom I hope will be getting their own stories.
A good well paced book well that promises an enjoyable read for paranormal romance fans.

This is not the first time that I have read one of Mandy Roth’s books and it will not be the last. She is always able to keep me interested in her books as well as keeping little bits of them unpredictable. I really liked this book and I am looking forward to reading others in this series? I hope there is another story coming anyway. The story starts right off with a steamy scene in chapter 1. The story branches out from there. It hooked me from the start of the story and kept me interested through the entire tale.
The story had a couple surprises for me. Things like where Donatus works and that there are more yummy men just like him there were a couple of these. Also there were a couple of times that this book made me laugh out loud as well. The reading flowed well for me with the exception of one conversation between Ava and her friends. It just seemed a little long to me but it was also full of information that really helped fill out the background of Ava and her friends.
I really enjoy the good vs. evil type books especially when it is one where Lucifer just might get his butt kicked. There is a little of all different types of supernatural beings in this story so there is something for everyone. The author creates twists and turns in the storyline that keeps you on your toes and a little anticipation of what the author will reveal next. If there is another written in this line I would definitely like to read the next one.

Donatus Manlian was a well made man he was handsome in his mid thirties and a Professor at a local University. Donatus like he's friends is well respected and all around ladies man that bedded many for the hundreds of year they walk the earth due to the fact they were all Demons who have walk away from the evil they had severed . He was in search of something he believed was not possible for his kind even though he was told different,deep down he hoped it was true he just doesn't know it yet .

This was another entertaining and intense read that I so enjoy from Mandy Roth. I really loved the heroine, Ava. She is a Valkyrie and has unwittingly summoned the demon Donatus. Believing that it was a dream, she and Donatus share a passionate night together and when Donatus realizes that she is his mate he bonds/claims her.
After waking up in their own beds after their encounter they both believe that what they just experienced was a dream. Needless to say, Donatus is shocked to realize that Ava is indeed real and is now working at the same school that he teaches at with his fellow lost warriors/demons. Ava is a badass! I love when the heroines are the one doing the butt kicking and Ava does that and then some! Donatus was an interesting hero and struggled to contain his inner demon.
Both believe that the other is human and it was funny to see them try to protect the other from the danger that is hunting Ava. I really liked the whole storyline of the lost warriors, mates and rebellion against Lucifer. It was an exciting, engaging and action packed read from the get go and I really hope that Mandy writes stories for the other lost warriors and their mates.

Donatus is smart, handsome Professor at a small, local university. He is a bit of a ladies man and a demon between the sheets...literally. Repenting for the evil he reaped whilst under Lucifers control, he and his fellow rebel Hosts are now trying to do good in the world.
Ava fed up being lonely but is conned into reciting a spell and summons a demon, Donatus in his demon form. They have a mammoth and impressive night and he slips away before she sees his human form. But there is a snag, Ava is the first female Professor hired to teach Norse Mythology at the University. When they meet first time, she has unbelievably strong push to protect him and inject light into his office.
When the pieces start to fall together we see why she has such a strong bond with Donatus.
This was a well crafted story and it was nice to see that not all demons are bad guys!! The bond between Don, Kal and Gun is brilliant and I want to see if Buite is redeemed at all in later books or stays a nutter!!!

1.5 stars. This is one of those books that relied on sex to pave its way to being a good read. It erred. There was potential that didn't get exploited. I admit I'm a little intrigued with Kal and Gunter. Maybe enough to read their stories if they have one... The main couple bored me. Before they became all physical with one another was when I liked them the best. This book got so tedious I couldn't finish it. While they argue and drown us in their facts of how powerful they are and yaddah yah, the hero and others do nothing, they freeze so the heroine can spout blah blah blah. Technically they're not frozen. This isn't a movie or play and it's trying too hard to have little movie/play moments. The author needs to learn what to do with the other characters while two characters are speaking. The dialogue is so long, tedious, over-achieving, and focused solely on the two talking that the surroundings and the people also in the setting and situation pause and don't exist until the dialogue ends and suddenly life jumpstarts and the other characters can suddenly move and talk again. That's not how natural social proceedings go.

One kick-ass Valkyrie/Angel woman, one demonic Lost Warrior in hiding and a summoning spell to set everything in motion toward thwarting Lucifer's plans.
I think that Valkyrie are some of the coolest characters in the Paranormal genre. You don't come across them often, unless you are a Mandy M. Roth fan. She has written several books with Valkyrie in them but in each one she takes a slightly different approach toward the character. Ava is a standout example of this. Hooking her up with a bad-demon turned good is brilliant. Ava and Donatus each have their own posses and witty banter abounds amongst all parties throughout the book. The story is entertaining and on the sizzling side (for those who enjoy their Paranormal with a dash of heat!) and sets up all manner of options for an ongoing series. This is one of the author's longer books which is always a plus for me.
If you like strong heroines and stronger heroes, a little bad with your nice and evil getting its butt handed to it then you will definitely want to read this book.

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a fantastic book full of sexy demons one in particular Donatus and the woman who becomes his mate Ava.
Donatus is a sexy demon who had turned from evil and now fights to protect the innocent. He is strong, sensual, and he wonders if he will ever find his true soul mate.
Ava is a half angel half Valkyrie and is a powerful fighter against evil. She is hiding from Lucifer and his horde when she unknowingly calls her demon mate to her one night and he claims her, but she thinks it is all just a dream.
This book is non stop action and some of the hottest mating that you just will not be able to put this book down. I love this book and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. It started out with a Big Bang and I hope each book is as good as this one is.

OMG!!! This book pulls you in from the first sentence!!! Usually books DO NOT start this way and end just as hot!! Donatus has had control over his demon for the last three hundred years, but we Ava calls him, he can't resist. Ava unknowingly calls forth a demon and mates with him while she thinks she is dreaming. When she meets Donatus he seems familiar but she doesn't know why. Donatus on the other hand knows that it wasn't a dream and also that she is carrying his child. Ava thinks Donatus is human and she has to protect him from those that are hunting her. There is lots of action in this book. This story has some awesome secondary characters that I feel in love with and can't wait for their stories. Even though this is a series each book will have its own HEA!!

Demonic Desires, by Mandy Roth was a story with a great story line, but way too much sex. I never thought I would say that about a book! The premise of this book that a being that is part evil demon and part man has learn to control and contain the demon until the demon is summoned by its mate. We go on to learn of the connection between this man, Donatus, and his mate, Ava. There is a great story line about her upbringing and how she has fought against Lucifer and his minions for all her life, almost losing her life to them. But, this great story was not developed because every chapter was mainly about sex. I would love to read this story with only about half the sex.

I really enjoyed this story by Ms. Roth. Ava thought her future had been stolen, then she meets Donatus. Why is a human tripping all her triggers and a few she didn't know she had? I thought Ms. Roth did a wonderful job of laying out their chemistry. Neither one can be honest with each other or can they? Finding out was more than half the fun. I thought the secondary characters really added to this story. Both Donatus and Ava had friends that was wacky but loyal. It was wonderful seeing their interactions. This story was action packed and funny. It had a nice plot and the characters were well developed. I am looking forward to seeing if Ms. Roth will give some of those secondary characters (hint, hint).

We start the story with Donatus Manilin, a demon who has kept his demonic side in check for 300 years and Ava part Valkyrie and Angel, who fights on the side of good against Lucifer and his subjects. Donatus is pulled by his demonic side to a woman's bedroom and is unable to leave her and ends up claiming her as his wife. He wakes up thinking it is all a dream. Ava, who had a recent battle against Lucifer, is relocating to a "safe" area and meets Donatus at the college and is instantly drawn to him. I loved the way she built up the characters, not just the main characters but the secondary ones as well. It has amazing fight scenes and the start is a very steamy, sexy scene. I cannot wait to see where she takes the story line in the future.

If you are looking for a great paranormal romance with great characters then you need to read this book.

Ava is a kick butt gal! She is starting over at a new college away from her friends. When she meets Donatus she feels overwhelmingly protective of him. Donatus knows her! And he has some secrets of his own. Donatus struggles to keep the beast inside of him under control while near Ava.
Ava has some skills of her own as well as secrets. Ava and Donatus’s friends are a solid core of people that are there for each other. Evil can be good if it meets the right kind of love. And the evil in this book was soo good!! This was a kick arse book with some sizzling love!

Donatus and Ava have such a great love story. I didn't want to put this book down. I thought it was creative and fresh. Ava thinks that her passionate night with her demon lover was a dream but boy was she in for a pleasant surprise. Despite their circumstances Donatus and Ava are perfect for each other, and they can't resist the pull and attraction. Professor by day and evil destroyer by night Ava has no idea that the man she wants and can't stop thinking about id one of the things she hunts at night. This was an awesome read and I eagerly await reading more about these characters.

This was another great book by Mandy Roth. So far I have loved every book I have picked up from this author. This book was on a subject I have been reading about a lot....Valkyries and Norse mythology and it just made it all the better for me to enjoy it. I really enjoyed how Ms. Roth brought us from the beginning of a demon trying to be a good guy and not feeling like he deserves anything good to happen to him and finally realizing that he deserves love and everything that comes with it. I really hope to hear more about these 2 characters and some of the supporting cast in the future.

This Book was so Fun!
I have just discovered Mandy Roth and Michelle Pillow! An Awesome duo! Mandys' writing style just does it for me. She's funny, sassy, sexy and sweet all rolled into one!
I hope she turns this world into a series.
This short read had very well developed characters and the town they lived in was interesting and relaxing. The small town feel coupled with the huge supernatural connection gave me the feeling that the story line could go on for awhile and never get boring. I hope to see more from this group of characters!

I can't say that i disliked the book but i can't say i enjoyed it that much as well.
i enjoyed it greatly but there was something bothering me in places.
Sometimes i felt confused over what was happening and others i was smiling so much over the things i read and how the story was evolving.
I love how Mandy writes and this book is packed with action,sex and lots of emotions.

I loved this story. The women are strong, powerful Alpha females. They are not weak helpless victims. The story drew me in from the start and I could not put it down. I would have enjoyed reading more about the other main characters in this story but the plot was ideal and kept me turning the page to see what was going to happen next. I am not sure if there are other books that will tell the stories of the others but I can only hope that there will be or that I will find them if there are.

I love demons that are good and good girls that are badass, and that what's you get with Donatus and Ava. They dream about each other only to find out that it wasn't a dream after all and boy was that dream hottt. Ava don't know Donatus is a demon and she tries to protect him. Donatus don't know Ava is a kickass demon slayer and tries to protect her. This book has a great story line and the action will keep you on your toes.
