This is a book for people interested in the study of movement, specifically in children in order to understand their psychological development. The book uses the Kestenberg Movement Profile, a system to catalog motion so that it can be studied. The basis for the system is Freudian, which is a bit frustrating at times -- for all the reasons that we've moved past Freud, but can't leave him out altogether. The result gives you a way to think about motion that is helpful despite the psychological jargon. Most interesting but only for specialists.
