This book lives up to it's title: Super Cute! My 7 year old grabbed it right out of the box and started browsing it immediately. Even though the directions are pretty advanced, she picked a drawing of a cute panda and bunny to draw. Some will pick it up for the cute pictures, but serious artists receive detailed instructions on how to duplicate the pictures. Even the author bios at the end are interesting because it shows a variety of different styles, and cute self portraits as well.

I own this book and I love it! It's got way over two dozen tutorials and they all cover a different style so it's easy to learn multiple things at once! at the same time, it's large and super heavy. that's the only reason I took a star off. the ONLY ONE.

I liked the different characters this book had but didn't feel like it did a good job showing how to draw them. There wasn't much about the shapes you start with. It was ok.
