This is essentially a Hamlet/Romeo & Juliet AU where the author sets up Hamlet with Juliet, and Romeo with Ophelia, because those pairings are, according to the author, better suited for each other. Something about the passion of the Romeo & Juliet characters evening out the depression of the Hamlet characters.

I'm mostly just amused that this is 100+ year old fanfic.
