I decided I needed a refresher and this book was good for those who already have knowledge of the language. However, on the whole grammar concepts are poorly presented and you really have to do the leg work yourself to truly understand what they are trying to teach you. I did pick up a few new words I did not know, but TBH this was not something I would recommend for learning Hungarian.

I did enjoy the poems and stories that showed the Hungarian culture and some of their intricacies. But these were only in the last few chapters. The other parts were dry and monotonous. However, it is hard to find good Hungarian language books, so this is certainly much better than nothing.
