A must-read for any career-minded individual, whether you looking for a career change or happy where you are. Scumaci's career coaching wisdom is demonstrated through the story of Zoe, who was forced to reinvent herself after she was unexpectedly fired from her job. Scumaci expertly provides both strategy and tactics as she explains the value of self-awareness, as well as the importance of being open to feedback from others. Scumaci uses a new way of reaching her readers in this book by following the story of Zoe, a young woman who has just been released from a dead end job. I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway.

First, the pros: the book had a lot of good advice for working women (or men, for that matter). Even if you are happy at your work, it could be a good refresher on the different methods to help yourself, help others, and stay motivated and productive.

Cons: I wasn't the biggest fan of her writing style. Parts were hackneyed, and I had to stop to roll my eyes at several lines (such as "She watched as wisdom took center stage and began to dance").

I won this in a goodreads giveaway!

Review: This struck me as different from other job/career books. It goes a little deeper and gives ideas to make your own opportunities and to really dig deeper into yourself to figure out what you want to do.

This book helps answer questions like "What if I discover I'm in the wrong job?" and more.

Really cornball in parts and one section bogged down and seemed to go off the track, but overall useful enough that I highlighted many parts.
