This was one of my favorites of this series. Its interesting that England at that time was struggling with a civil war, so there is a lot to think about concerning war ... the causes and effects ... how individuals are affected ... what its all about. This was a long time ago, but the lessons are certainly still current. And I found the stories of crime and punishment extremely thought provoking and current as well.
