You tell me -- have I shelved this sufficiently, or do I need to add an "eyes bugged out" shelf?

I can't believe this book. I just can't believe it.

First there was the overwrought writing. "The drive to get her to move, to open her eyes and look at him with those endless inky skies had been as inescapable as a black hole since they'd first had him in their focus, had been what motivated him." Admittedly this is a tense moment, with the heroine in a coma, but practically every sentence is

Billionaire, M.D—Man of the Month by Olivia Gates

“Man of the Month”—Rodrigo Valderrama & Cybele Wilkinson’s Story

Rodrigo Valderrama is a man dedicated to his profession and humanity. He is a man that exemplifies all the traits of a person who should truly be classified as “Man of the Month.

Cybele and Rodrigo’s story is truly one that will tear your heartstrings and you will rejoice in the final results. They are connected and neither one wants to admit their true feelings even though as their story progresses y

Excellent primary care!

Olivia Gates takes us with her newest book in a suspenseful, emotional, sensual ride brilliantly braided with one of the most romantic love stories I'd ever read. Rodrigo's love, passion and deep devotion for Cybele is touching from the first page to the last one. And the camaraderie they develop makes their love more realistic.

I'd been reading Desire books since an age I shouldn't have been doing so, and like everybody else (please God, don't let m

To Cybele, since she opened her eyes after her accident to find him looking anxiously down at her, Rodrigo Valderrama was a dream come true. She remembered nothing but that this man was vital to her, that her very soul ached for him.

From then on, Olivia Gates takes us on a perilous ride with Cybele as her memory returns, bit by bit unraveling a past rife with emotional turmoil. All along, her only haven through the storms of retrieving herself, was this incredible man. And just as you think the

Wow! From the moment she opened her eyes, the chemistry between Rodrigo, her gorgeous surgeon and self-appointed guardian angel, and Cybele was palpable! Cybele suffered from memory loss that she incurred in an accident. But her memory came back to her in expertly written doses of info and insight that only Olivia Gates can deliver. And boy did she deliver - unfurling the intricacies and the mysteries of Rodrigo’s presence in Cybele’s life.

I loved learning about Cybele’s past and found myself t

Once again Olivia Gates has done it! Billionaire, MD had me bawling my eyes out! Tears of joy mixed with the pain experienced by her characters of course!! Right down to the last page! Sighh. Such wonderful, lovable, embraceable characters. I've read it twice already!!

Thank you Olivia Gates!

Making me cry! Dang. Was a hero or heroine ever so worthy of a happy ever after! (As I wipe away fresh tears just thinking about them!)

"This was an absolutely spell-binding book and true to form for the sensuousness and seductiveness for which Ms. Gates is known. ... Billionaire, M.D. is definitely worth putting on your reading list - a real page-turner and enough twists and turns on the way to the HEA ending to satisfy! Enjoy!" Someone sold Olivia Gates a bag of magic beans and she created this story from them. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.

First magic bean – the opening. Heroine wakes up from a coma in a Spanish hospital after being in a plane crash that killed her doctor husband. She has amnesia, which means she is in a whole new world, high above reality (without having to climb the proverbial beanstalk first.) The first person she sees is the hero – whom she is immediately attracted to. He is hostile tow

Rodrigo is a dreamboat. The way he treated the amnesic Cybele was every woman's every dream come true. I so wish more romances had heroes who were such nurturing alphas. If a powerful, brilliant, cherishing, virile, sexually dominant yet magnanimous alpha is your thing, then Rodrigo is the hero for you. If you like a superbly written mystery and a story that trickles along with the heroine's returning memories and keeps hitting you with twists and turns until the full image is complete, then thi ...more

Wow. This was like watching 6 months worth of condensed General Hospital episodes.
Ridiculously melodramatic and chock full of hilariously purple prose.
But I was a little disappointed with how it played out when she finally got her memory back.

Ok, so I have a thing for doctors as heroes in books (if not so much in real life though). And I think Olivia Gates writes the best doctors ever (heroes and heroines) So I rushed to buy this book that I hoped would be like her awesome medical romances (do yourselves a favor and go look those up!) with both hero and heroine surgeons, though they don't work together like in her other books. And though this book has very few medical details (only when the medical protagonists are talking about her ...more

I actually adored this book so much. Talk about true love. I definitely want the hero in this book at my beck and call, ohhh my! It was steamy and full of passion. The hero was divine, exactly how a man should be. He took care of the heroine and then showed her love. It was sooo amazing. The heroine was thrilling as well, she was complex and intelligent. Together they were combustible and the ending of the book, all sorts of kinky going on there! *drools*

The female protagonist is somewhere in the middle of dreamscape and wakefulness. She is lying in a hospital bed, and when the handsome doctor approaches her, she is aware of the fact that she too is a doctor, but she can't remember anything other than that.

He's a neurosurgeon, who owns a hospital in Barcelona; and he informs her that she's a senior trauma/reconstructive surgery resident in the same hospital. And that she survived an accident and is pregnant. And that her husband wh

I adore amnesia stories! Combining my love of this theme and my love for Olivia's style of writing, I had very high expectations for this book, and Olivia didn't let me down. Our heroine Cybele is recovering from an auto accident in which her husband has died. When she awakens she finds her memories are blank, she knows things, like how to be a doctor but she doesn't recall the details of her life. Roberto is our hero, who tortures himself with the knowledge he carries of the past. He's been in ...more

Rodrigo is the perfect hero, talented, powerful, kind, passionate and the twists in this book as we found everything out when the amnesic heroine Cybele did kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next! Wonderful read and five stars plus.

Where do I begin with this one. What is it with Olivia Gates and these guys she writes about? Alpha males with heart? Who would have thought? Rodrigo is a Billionaire genius neurosurgeon. Surely that was enough without the hotness, the kindness, the big family values. Hell, whereever she spawns these guys I want directions. The story was well thought out with the revelations being paced nicely, keeping up the emotional tension. Lost a star because I really did not want to know what he did in his ...more

I'd like to let you know what a wonderful book this is, so you can experience the joy I have had in reading Mrs. Gates' wonderfully worded creations! I find it difficult to compose my thoughts into a well-worded review (I have found that it's not one of my strong points) so I ask for divine intervention to help me. It's the least I can do for Mrs. Gates as she has kindly taken the time to write the novels in the first place. And if I think writing a little review is difficult, I know it's nothin ...more

Which reader of romance does not love a hot sexy totally delicious Dr hero! I for sure darn do! And if there is one author that can write a truly brilliant Dr. hero and add in a world of complete wonder and excitement it is Olivia Gates.

She completely wowed me in this read with twists and turns that left me in no doubt that I will forever more be hooked on her books.

The read tells of Cybele( btw Olivia that name is GORGEOUS), she is whisked away by Dr. I’ll –drive-you-wil

Rodrigo is the ultimate hero. Powerful, brilliant, protective and passionate, and he's so attentive, considerate and kind with it. With his every word and action, I fell deeper in love with his along with Cybele. What a lucky woman! The delightfully intricate plot and the mystery of the past and present that unravels with her returning memories was masterfully done, too. An all around winner and a repeat read for me.

I never really liked doctor heroes (probably because I haven't met a doctor, or esp. a surgeon that I admired) but this book changed my mind, and sent me searching for all those luscious surgeons Olivia Gates wrote! Rodrigo Valderrama is a dreamboat, and the way he loves Cybele will leave you weak in the knees. A perfect book with Ms. Gates's patented twisty plot and white-hot passion!

Corny, ludicrous story. I almost rolled my eyes out of my head. Over-rated author.
Christine (KizzieReads)
Normally, this type of book takes me less than a day to read. This one, tortuous. It was so convoluted, unrealistic, off the wall bad. A doctor who takes his patient to his estate to recuperate, who happens to be his brother's widow is not even the ridiculous part. Because he is taking her there, he manages, in a split second, to have a cat scan, MRI and x-ray machine delivered to his house so that he could monitor her. And he runs them all himself. There were other parts just as ridiculous. The ...more
