Non ho scovato in questo manuale alcuna informazione errata o imprecisa sulla convivenza con i gatti, ma nemmeno nessuna innovativa o prima sconosciuta. Certo è che se cercassi di togliere le piccole "cattive" abitudini del mio compagno felino sparandogli addosso con una pistola ad acqua, mi ritroverei la giugulare squarciata durante il sonno.

The subtitle of this book is "Fixing Feline Faults." That is a total lie. This book only does what it's title implies - explains why a cat has a certain behavior. The pictures are good (and some are very cute). I read this out loud to our new shy cat. It is informative, but doesn't help to fix any "faults."

Unbearably adorable pictures of cats and kittens. The explanations however is repeated over and over again. Seriously, there are at least five separate photo/explanations on why cats rub against things/people. Still the book is probably very helpful for new pet owners to help recognize cat expressions and behavior. With one major exception - she never covers play aggression in kittens. If a new pet owner read only this and saw that very common behavior they would probably conclude that the cats did not get along (there was a lot about cats not getting along).

Why Is My Cat Doing That? by Sarah Heath is a cute book that explains cat behavior. It's short, easy to understand, and has really CUTE pictures of cats illustrating the points made. While in no way will Why Is My Cat Doing That? answer all your questions about cat behavior, it is a fun read that may even give you an occasional insight into to cat behavior you hadn't considered.
