I didn't like the way this book was structured, I'd have preferred the instructions at the front of the book instead of at the end. I also would have appreciated some sort of guide accompanying each picture, for example: blue and silver go great together but never use blue with neon green, or something to that effect. Otherwise pretty nice designs
I love to wrap gifts and thought this book might be super inspirational. It might have been better if the author's idea of brilliantly inspired gift wrapping didn't seem to ALWAYS include putting silk flowers on top of a present and securing with a bow. The papers change and the flowers are different but its pretty much the same through the whole book. Crud. Oh well.
Carolyne Roehm has a great eye for color, design and creativity. Not only informative but pleasing to view the vivid photos and step-by-step directions. Great ideas for gift decorating for various occasions. At least I have the competence to copy her style since I lack all creativity to form it. I bet she has a whole room in her home dedicated to gift wrapping!
The styles are getting a little dated, but the ideas are great. I like how it's divided by seasons. There is even instructions included for how to properly wrap a gift and create a bow. Very helpful. My last gift looked really good, if I do say so myself! lol
Just purchased this from Amazon... Saw some images online of gifts wrapped by the talented Ms. Roehm and was hooked. I'm forever fascinated by creative/talented people.
