Human Body
Start with a picture of a human head; read all about the outer surface of the brain beneath the skull and the protective fluid that encases it. Then, peel back the acetate page to reveal the same spread but with the next layer of brain tissue and central nervous system visible. This completely unique system of show-and-tell combines cutting-edge computerized photomontage and acetate technology with tried-and-true nonfiction subjects featuring material written, researched, and photographed by experts in each field.

Key learnings: A big picture about the human body, what’s in it and how it works.
-
Kiehtova Ihminen (“Human Body(DK Revelead)”) by Davidson and Morgan is a short and graphic introduction to the human body.
The book explores the human body in detail, beginning with the structure of the head, the brain, the eyes and ears, and the nose and mouth. It then moves on to the chest cavity, the heart, blood circulation, and breathing, before examining the abdominal cavity, regulatory functions, and digestion. Finally, it discusses the pelvis, the lower limbs, the skeleton, and the skin.
The book is filled with great and clear pictures / diagrams about each topic. Explaining the key points but not delving deeply into it, just the basics. It’s an information-packed book, as each topic is covered in just a single spread.

The Human Body Revealed has a fantastic layered effect with most of it pages that show the inner workings of the body in a clear yet not overly gory way. This is a perfect resource to aid with 7th grade physical science or just to see the cool complex mechanics that we are made of.
