Dogs Dogs Dogs: A Collection of Great Dog Cartoons

Rate this book
Here is a collection of over 150 cartoons, both classic and contemporary, paying tribute to our ever-faithful canine companions. Gathered together in one hysterically funny volume are all kinds of dogs doing what they do best--barking, fetching, playing, and snoozing, as well as joining in lots of crazy antics they probably shouldn't be caught doing at all. You'll meet acting dogs, sleep-walking dogs, job hunting dogs, driving dogs, and talking dogs. You'll see man's best friend in the after-life, on a computer, in prison, at a bar, and in therapy. Some of the dogs look suspiciously like their masters--complete with attendant neuroses and idiosyncrasies.

Over 70 artists have contributed their best material to Dogs, Dogs, Dogs--including such well-known cartoonists as Charles Addams, Charles Barsotti, George Booth, Barney Tobey, Gahan Wilson, Jack Ziegler, and, of course, Sam Gross--from such diverse magazines as The New Yorker. Good Housekeeping, and National Lampoon. For dog owners and dog lovers everywhere, Dogs, Dogs, Dogs is an absolute tail-wagger.

Some cute cartoons, many that appeared in the New Yorker Magazine, some of which I guess I'm not sophisticated enough to understand.

It was okay. I prefer Gross's cartoons better. There are many Busino cartoons in this book, which is good.
