I have had the pleasure of owning a copy of the original book for many many years and now have the pleasure of sharing this lovely version with my granddaughters.
Cute story about acceptance, being yourself, and learning to love people based on actions, not what they look like. Rhyming text, interesting illustrations. A bit long for the younger crowd.
A strong rhyming and a good legend attracted me much in this story-book. Reading to it, I wonder if a democratic decision of change possible to take place in a traditional, but cruel, “buffalo world”? Actually, the book is very warm and easeful, "from beginning clear through to the end"...
