Thank you Big Shoulder Books for sending me a copy of Write Your Heart Out - Chicagoland Teens on Relationships: An Interactive Anthology edited by Michelle Morano and Beth Catlett. 
Write Your Heart Out is a personal collection of 44 short stories, poems, or images by various teenagers from Chicago, Illinois, USA. This diverse anthology explores many different types of relationships that these 44 Chicago teens have experienced or reflected on. The individual works in this book are about friendship, or romantic love, or family. Relationships can be both simple and complex. Situationships anyone? 
Any teen - or anyone who has ever been a teenager - can relate to some of these stories. This book is "interactive" because it includes writing prompts or questions and blank pages for the reader to use. I recommend this book to young readers and writers. I have passed this book on to a young adult who will likely appreciate reading it.
