The Draft

Rate this book
In the New Universe, after the destruction of Pittsburgh by paranormals, the government begins rounding up paranormals, reinstating the draft to form their own indestructible army of paranormals. This is the story of the paranormal draftees as they go through boot camp...whether they like it or not! Very similar in tone to the Mutant Registration Act that takes place in the X-Men movie. The finale to the New Universe.

Interesting take on how the government would deal with the idea of 'super heroes'.
Basically, they institute a draft and put them in the army.

Not a bad story, but like everything that came out of marvel's 'New Universe' titles the art is only 'okay' and only about the half the cast is fleshed out. The rest just feel like 'types'.
Good ideas, that translate into so-so story.

There are good ideas in this book ( the ending is pretty clever) and there are some unique supers, but the story feels a bit rushed and by the numbers.
