Stripped of her sword Kurogamon by her traitorous elder brother, the hospitalized Raimei is forced to face up to the demons brought on by the battle with Raikou. Still, Raimei is not one to take life's blows lying down, and she decides to confront her brother once more. Standing in her way, however, is another member of the Grey Wolves! But instead of instigating another fight, this enemy has a story to tell...a story that will shatter the truth to which Raimei has been clinging for all these years...
One gets more information on the Shimizu siblings, incredibly interesting and painful and I'm so involved, I couldn't stop reading even if I wanted to.
I can always appreciate a story with a sort of rhythm that treats each character to a three-dimensional design, rather than making them simple and flat (Hope whoever's reading this knows I'm talking about there character traits and not the actual dimensions of the characters design). Even though Miharu is the main focus of the series, dedicating x amount of chapters to side characters and antagonist characters increases the pleasure of exploring a series. Everyone has a purpose and learning that purpose, who they are, and what said person is fighting for keeps a story and the world alive. I also like the subtle hints or romance (Yoite and Miharu) along with the not-so-subtle ones (Gau and Reiko), which to be fair actually work since they aren't going far in the series so far, and shows the budding of emotions from our more indifferent characters.
Susah move on dr Naruto!!!
This volume was very good too. Gau won me (but then THAT had to happen, seriously kid? WHY?). When he first appeared he seemed like an annoying brat, but he's far from it, I can see. Around Raikou he's just... I'm sorry this isn't supposed to be a helpful review at all... Anyway, nice story. I had a feeling Raikou wasn't bad from the beginning, nice to have it confirmed. I loved how the Kairoushou (is that it? gosh the names... I'm still getting used to them...) just has this very family feeling. The end was quite surprising. :O Miharu baby...

Things are not always what they seem. Isn't that just the most rampant theme ever in stories like this about hidden worlds and double lives? But it really fits in this volume as we get a bit of backstory on a side character and some things get brought to light that change the way I looked at much of the plot so far.
And that end? Why would you do that when I don't know how long it will be before I can get my hands on 6? Hahaha, I love it thought. Great volume, solid characterization and even a bit emotional.
A very enjoyable experience. A mix of martial arts and musings on secrets: are desire to tell/hide them and are willingness to hear the truth. This volume contains the back story of the brothers and sister and we get to see their parents.
Favourite of the Series, mainly due to the fact that Gau and Raikou and featured more in this particular Volume. The story line is fast paced and the art is beautiful. I'd recommend the series to any Manga fans, mainly the Naruto Franchise, if you would like to see a story behind the fighting.
While the first four volumes where already quite good, this is where we get to the really good stuff, the kind that tugs at your heartstrings and where you ache for the characters. I really love this and all the characters, and I can't wait to read more.
Raimei ends up in the hospital after her confrontation with Raikou. Raikou nearly kills Gau when he gets in the way of his fight. Miharu tells Yukimi he wants to join the Grey Wolves.

Well things got intense in this volume as Raimei is told the truth about her brother and what really happened the day she and her brother became enemies.
