Although this is a little out of date, I still learned some valuable information about iron absorption, the athletes need for iron, and other details of supplementation that I did not come across online. Unfortunately the information on eating for iron deficiency is limited and consists mainly of listing foods and their iron content. There are no recipes or meal plans. Much of the book focuses on anemia and chronic diseases.
This book has some good information, but it is also rather dated and sometimes does not explain things as clearly as I might wish. It covers a wide range of possible causes for anemia, including very rare disorders.
