This book was ok, but had I not been in the middle of a reading challenge I don't think I would have finished it. While I enjoyed reading scripture passages to help understand God's view on anger, the whole thing was shrouded in Christian condescension. It also felt like her personal stories were made up - not sure why, maybe poor writing/storytelling.

I appreciated the heartfelt Christian perspective, but I also wish there were more specifics, especially what to do when you feel yourself ramping up. I also thought many of the challenges she discusses didn't really address my needs, where my anger is often directed toward my son rather than my husband or other adults. Difficult book to review because it was A) very different from what I had expected, and thus B) not very relevant to me.

I had assumed that it was a book on all aspects of being angry, meant both for those who got too angry and for those who didn't get angry enough. It turned out it was only aimed at the former, and as keeping my temper isn't really a problem to me, there wasn't much in the book I could use.

This is not a book for people who occasionally struggle with anger, or for those wanting help dealing with angry people. It is hope for those who love God and struggle with feeling angry and all that goes with that emotion. I found this book to be insightful, helpful and full of grace.

Excellent!!!! Lisa Bevere uses Scripture, examples from her personal life, and just plain commmon sense to really convict her readers. I was so blessed by this book!
