If scientists are able to prolong life, will it be worth living? Without purpose or joy, extended life seems a hollow victory. So how do we live life to the fullest? Nicky Gumbel's A Life Worth Living, based on Paul's letter to the Philippians, is a practical and positive guide to help us uncover a new heart, new purpose, new attitude, and a new confidence to the way we live our lives. This book is especially written for those who are just starting out in the Christian life and is an ideal follow-up to Alpha.
Nicholas Glyn Paul Gumbel, known as Nicky Gumbel, is an English Anglican priest and author in the evangelical and charismatic traditions. He is known as the developer of the Alpha Course, a basic introduction to Christianity supported by churches of many Christian traditions.
I really enjoyed reading this but as it's a follow on to the Alpha Course (that I haven't done),I'm sure would've been even better had I done the course first.Definitely worth a read and I learnt a lot.
More exposition than exegesis and not particularly deep, but a good first step in getting to grips with a New Testament book for new Christians., and the study guide explores practical questions for small groups studying the epistle and this book together.
