I've been planning a trip to Costa Rica that we'll be taking soon, and this is the guide I have found the most useful so far. (The other two I have used are Lonely Planet's and DK's, but they are not as comprehensive or well organized.)

One thing that peeves me slightly about practically all these guides is the amount of space they devote to restaurants. Not only do restaurants close or change rapidly, but we're simply not the sort of travelers who spend much time seeking specific places to eat. We tend to just ask locals or stop at appealing-looking places when we are hungry. There are better ways of spending time while traveling than searching for a particular restaurant.
