More enjoyable than I had expected, as someone with little prior interest in or knowledge of art. I have found myself fascinated by the belief of the early Australian Impressionists that the colours of the Australian landscape are blue and gold. I'm enjoying seeing the country around me with fresh eyes, in all it's blue and gold glory!

This suffers a little in that so many of the 100 are by the same handful of artists who all hung out together and seemed to paint similar scenes in a similar style. Only the paintings pre 1880 and post 1940 really stood out for me, but that's more about the art than the writing which was excellent throughout.
