It is slowly approaching the coronation of King Charles. The time for new books about his person. One of those books is Charles III: A King and His Queen, a book by royalty photographer Chris Jackson. When you see the cover you immediately have a “wow feeling” and it stays that way throughout the book. The book is a stunning book that documents photographs of major state events and overseas travel, private moments, to name a few.
We can talk about the book for a long time, but we don’t have to. This book so beautiful, it’s a must have if you are a lover of the British royal family as seen through Chris Jackson’s camera.
The book is written by renowned Getty Images photographer Chris Jackson. The pictures say more than words in this book. Chris Jackson seems to have a knack for taking the photos at the right time and capturing the exact emotion etc of the moment. You can feel his love for the profession when you look at the photos.
The book contains several chapters in which King Charles as well as the Queen Consort Camilla are described in detail, about duty, dignity, dress, family and much more.
Each of the photos has corresponding detailed descriptions. It is fascinating to read how and why the photos were taken. Photos often taken during historical events. A lot of background information is also given, about Charles, but also about his work as a royalty photographer. Every now and then Chris Jackson talks about what is special to him, or what happened during a trip. Personal experiences.
It is clear that Chris Jackson belongs to the creme de la creme in his field and is often asked for special assignments within the royal family. Rightly so, because the photos are all brilliant.
The design of the book is beautiful, the paper used does justice to the photos. This book about King Charles III is an absolute must for every lover of the British Monarchy!
