Wow, is this only six years old? It felt like reading something from the 70s or 80s. BIG speeches, lots of chest-thumping, everyone taking everything so serious but no one actually feeling like real people (just two-dimensional pitch sequences).

Boring as s*** to read, no interest in following the rest of this series.

3.5 stars! This is my first venture on reading X-Force comics and probably not the perfect introduction to it for beginners like me. I was really confused at the beginning since I didn’t have any background knowledge about any previous X Force stories and most of its core members aside from Cable but as the story went along, I was totally hooked on what was happening and got thrilled whenever a Marvel character that I knew (and there were a lot of them) makes an appearance. Also, the art in this ...more

It’s a return of Liefeld to the comic book he created, and it is larger than life over the top action just as you’d hope for. It is also a but shallow and while I enjoy Liefeld’s art a lot in this run I really had a difficult time differentiating the character’s faces which is a problem as there were a lot of close ups for intense dramatic conversation. I felt that the story itself got a little lost in all the layers they were trying to add so quickly. Not a bad comic book at all, but not an exc ...more

Continuing the x-read of 2017....

This gets a second star basically for nostalgia as it was nice to see the original team back together (but where were Rictor and Feral?)

This seems basically out of continuity, though, and nothing that couldn't be skipped for anyone attempting a chronological read like myself.

Though it started horribly, it got a little better thanks to Nicieza's writing, but Liefeld's way of drawing human anatomy is still painful to look at.
Only picked up this book because I'm reading Cable and Deadpool and wants to see what happened here.

This is a Liefeld book. It may be of a certain era but I don't think it deserves quite the beating it has taken here. Yes, Liefeld art is strangely proportioned. But you can always tell who did the art. He has a style and he doesn't compromise. In fact, this collection isn't even peak Liefeld. The bodies aren't terrifying.

The final battle is a little strange. It goes on for a lot longer than neces

I buy this one only because I am fan of original X-Force. Their early rosters are back, and Fabian Nicieza was one of my favorite X-books writer. But sadly, Rob Liefeld's art is now worse than his debut on X-Force. His plot on this book is also cliche, adding a new enemy which too much like Brood wasn't helping at all. The only thing that made me give it a star is Nicieza's dialogues.

Incomprehensible story, terrible art. It's good to know some things never change.
