Marvel’s Wastelanders: Wolverine is the fourth installment in the "Marvel’s Wastelanders" audio epic, following the success of Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star-Lord, Marvel’s Wastelanders: Hawkeye, and Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow. The all-new 10-episode series is written and directed by Peabody Award winner Jenny Turner Hall, with sound design by Michael Odmark and Daniel Brunell, and original music by Rhett Miller and John Burdick.
The series stars Robert Patrick as Wolverine, and features performances by Ashlie Atkinson (Kitty Pryde), Rachel Crowl (Red Skull), Isabella Ferreira (Sofia), Jennifer Ikeda (Rachel Summers), Justin Min (Justin), Clarke Peters (Professor X), Daniel Sunjata (Cyclops), and Carl Tart (Kevin).

Genau wie die anderen drei Hörspiele war auch das wieder ein fesselndes Hörspiel. In zehn Folgen wurde die Geschichte von Wolverine erzählt: Er trifft draußen auf eine Mutantin und beschützt sie. Das Geschehen nimmt seinen Lauf. Es hat mir richtig gut gefallen. Alle Sprecher und Sprecherinnen sind super, haben toll miteinander harmoniert. Das ganze Zusammenspiel hat wunderbar funktioniert und daraus ist ein tolles Audible Original entstanden. Richtig, richtig spannend und fesselnd.

Fanfreakintastic! With superb and utterly convincing voicing by Robert Patrick as Logan, Ashlie Atkinson as Kitty Pride, Rachel Crowl as Red Skull, and an earnest country western-influenced original soundtrack, this is the best Wastelanders installment so far.
Logan has been living isolation like a caveman for thirty years since the devastating events of V-day, when the villains teamed up to kill most of the supes. But a young mutant wolf whisperer changes all that, and Wolverine must revisit his mentally blocked dark past, face the consequences of his dual nature, and ultimately take on an entire fascist state to wring a wisp of hope from the hellscape that the eastern US has become under Red Skull's presidency.
This story is a hero's journey for our times. It's got found family, love-hate allies, time travel, two Cerebros, buried memories, devastating secrets, popped claws, a clever heist sequence, passing of the baton to the next gen, and mutant prime ministers who say "eh". Get ready for your heart strings to twang.
TW for senseless murder of a pet. This one's pretty dark, y'all.

This podcast is the fourth of a new series that takes place in an apocalyptic world, 30 years after the fall of the Avengers and X-Men heroes. This series began with Star-Lord, then included Hawkeye and Black Widow, with Doctor Doom next.
In this season, we finally meet Wolverine, and the story is obviously inspired by the graphic novel series Old Man Logan but isn't necessarily following that storyline. In a fugue state for thirty years, caused by the trauma he inflicted upon his friends at Professor X's school, he regains his wits and meets a young mutant and later a few former teammates of his who had escaped the carnage. A showdown with a supervillain should set him up to meet the other scattered heroes of this series. I am looking forward to future seasons to find out how these older heroes are able to find one another and rise up against the villains who took over the world!

As the same other audiobooks of this series, this was awesome! Packed action, great story & actors! I'm still amazed of the astonishing sound design & mix production, but again: I'm new to this medium of audiobooks.

After a long run in this series, I thought I knew what to expect, but here I go blown away once again. In each chapter, the series reinvents itself and decides to go to a new direction. it's not easy to accept that a style you liked and the characters you appreciated are no more. The only way to liking this new experience is for you to make space in your mind and give them a chance.
That is what I tried to do when I jumped into this volume. Wolverine is not my favorite, especially because Marvel always highlights his immortality rather than his immorality, and the remaining characters are slow to build (maybe they never reach a mature stage in this particular story).
All in all, it was a pleasant story to listen to, and the finale redeemed the early chapters. Ps adding a dynamic with Kitty and a real dog was somehow very smart move while phoenix 2.0 seemed a rather lazy choice for all i care.
recommended to people who believe life is all about the connections we build, be it with others, animals or ourselves.

Not quite as good as Wolverine: The Long Night, but still excellent. It was fast paced, I loved all the characters, and the sound production and voice acting was, once again, perfection. These podcasts are super fun.
