At first glance, Sawyer Tolland is a “bad boy” if ever there was one.
Trouble with a capital T.
I’ve had my fair share of trouble to last a lifetime. It’s the reason I’m in Creek Valley.

Everywhere I go, Sawyer shows up, his brooding expression constantly analyzing me. He thinks he knows me, can read me, can see past the mask I wear. Not that he’ll ever find out what I’m hiding. My past is locked up tightly in a box without a key.

Under the grumpy exterior hides a complicated man, and I’m having trouble reconciling his many sides. Because the man beneath his facade is a man I could use in my corner, the only one who holds the key to unlocking my secrets.

If only I was a girl who had something more to offer than the scars of a horrible past.
Because when he sees those, he won’t like them.
Even if it’s him who thinks he isn’t good enough for me.

Tin Roof Sunday is book three of the Creek Valley Creamery series, a small town, steamy romance centering around a crew of friends and their local creamery. It features a grumpy hero and a feisty heroine who’s overcome childhood trauma and looking for a fresh start.

Such a good small-town romance!! This was my first book by Taylor DeLong and it did not disappoint. I received this book as an ARC and will be shouting from the rooftops for everyone to read it. It was a quick read, and the relationship between Sawyer and Kadence was loving, sexy, and romantic as hell! I will say this is the third book in the series. I didn’t feel too lost by not reading the 1st two books, but I suggest reading them before reading the is one.. if only to get the backgrounds of the other members in the friend group. So good!! And I am so excited to read more of her!

I received this as an advanced copy and this was my first look i to the characters of Creek Valley. Although this was the third in a series it was an amazing standalone read.

Sawyer appears to the be the a$$hole of the group but his layers run deep. He is adored by friends but unsure if he is worthy of love

Kadence is the new girl in town and has many secrets of her own that makes her keep her distance from people.

A chance meeting a the local bar and more accidental encounters, these two find something that they are both needing and not realizing. Kadence still has secrets about her past that could have the potential to burst her bubble.

I got an ARC (advanced reader copy) for Tin roof Sunday, it is my first time reading any Taylor books but it most definitely will not be my last. Tin roof Sunday is part of a series but did make a good stand alone and I didn’t feel like I was missing any vital information.
Kadence is a girl with a lot of scars and secrets. She meets Sawyer in a bar and he comes off as the typical jerk she’s used to. After running into each other all over the place by accident they finally start to reveal their secrets and open up.
I absolutely love how sarcastic Kadence is and all of her comebacks.
Sawyer is definitely one of my most favorite book boyfriends. He’s sweet and caring and does little things that are actually big things.
10/10 would recommend this book

I absolutely loved this book! I received the opportunity to read this book as an ARC from the author and loved meeting these characters! The relationship between Kadence and Sawyer drew me in within the first few chapters, and the character development was on point. I appreciated how Kadence learned about her independence and what she wanted out of life instead of accepting what she thought she deserved. The same goes with Sawyer, allowing him to learn that he was more than enough and could be loved despite what he believed about himself. At points, I wished we had learned more about their past to understand more where they came from and what was informing their current beliefs about themselves but loved the bits we did get. I am always a sucker for a man who has a protective streak but can set that instinct aside to let the woman handle things on her own unless she asks for help. Great book, great love story! Would recommend!

I was lucky enough to be on the ARC team. I enjoyed this book but did take me a while to get into it. It was a little choppy at first but I guess it was because Sawyer and Kady's meet ups were spaced out too. But once they realized they were meant to be, the flow picked up. I enjoyed hearing about the CVC and Sawyer's new adventure with ice cream and booze.

I received this as an ARC.

I want to start off by saying I typically read fantasy, mysteries and thrillers, but wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and read something new! After finishing this book, I’m ready to read all of the others by Taylor!

It took me a bit to get into it, but once Kadence and Sawyer’s relationship really started going I couldn’t put it down! I honestly didn’t really get the asshole vibe from Sawyer like he’s supposed to be, but I don’t find that to be a negative thing.

I love how the characters continue to develop throughout the story. They grow so well, individually and together. I love the vibe of the creek valley creamery team, the friendships they all share. I can’t wait to read cold brew and I really hope we get to see more of Kady and Sawyer!

I liked the book Kadence and sawyer meet at a bar and offers to buy her drink but refuses. Yet his friend buys her the drink. The owner of the bar when they are drunk he them for their car keys and to Uber back to their house. They can get their car the next day. Kadence kept turning sawyer down until he kisses her. They always cross paths and sawyer ends up paying for she wants. Finally they sleep with each other and Kadence tells sawyer that he can’t stay the night. Sawyer is part owner a ice cream shop and incorporate alcohol in ice cream. Everything is going really good with Kadence and sawyer and someone from Kadence’s past shows up. A specific comment the person says sawyer believes it and doesn’t know the truth. Until someone says something happened to her and needs to be near her.

Thank you Taylor Delong for my ARC of Tin Roof Sunday! This was my first book of Taylor’s and even though it’s part of a series, I felt it was an excellent stand alone. If you like small town romance this book is for you! Pub date is 02/23/2023 🎉

Kadence is running from her past and has looots of skeletons in her closet. Sawyer has the jerk persona down to a T but is actually a good guy deep down inside. The instant attraction between these two is scorching. Kady does her best to keep Sawyer at arms length but he’s determined to make her give him a chance. When Kady’s past catches up to her, it puts their relationship to the ultimate test and has both of them questioning if either of them is good for the other.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was how Kadence really seemed to use Sawyer for food.. It seemed as if she was constantly looking for more handouts from him; coffee, cheesecake, cheeseburgers, cookies, ice cream, whatever the case was. He would offer to take her out for a meal and she had to tack on more.. I just felt it was a bit overboard for me. I wanted to think of Kady as more independent and “I’ll buy my own” rather than squeezing more and more out of Sawyer. Even if it is the gentlemanly thing to do by picking up the tab.

But that’s not enough to make me not want to read more from this author at all. I enjoyed the writing style and the way the other characters could easily have their own books telling their stories. I look forward to reading more from Taylor Delong in the future, for sure! 👏🏻

This author took a bit of a risk with the alternating “why are you being a jerk” moods between Sawyer and Kadence, but you know what? It worked. Because like life, no one person in a blossoming relationship (friendship or otherwise) is always the aggressor or passive participant. And to have each of them want more at different times made this all feel more true to life.

Kadence will definitely pull a few emotions from you. She’s used to relying on no one but herself. So no matter how welcoming this town seems, or how much Sawyer wants her to open up, it’s beyond difficult to do so. What if she’s rejected? What if she can’t trust the right people? What if she trusts the wrong people? Oh, her head is sometimes a dangerous place to be, but it’s necessary to getting to know the motives behind her behavior.

But then there’s Sawyer. And maybe if Kadence opens up a little, she’ll find that they’re not so different. He’s just had support where she didn’t in times of need. Along with his friends, they’re here to prove to Kady that she’s worth their time and support. Or is she? We’ll find out, since there’s a big ol’ secret just waiting to come out (and the truth doesn’t seem to matter in the heat of the moment), and when it does, who’ll remain? Who’ll leave? And can the two who’ve really fallen for each other come back from it?

Thankfully, these two find their way. One a little bit than the other. And in the way of this author, the one to catch a clue first isn’t always the one you’d expect.

I was given an ARC of the book by the author (Thank you Taylor!) and this was my first visit to Creek Valley. I always feel that it’s important for me to be completely honest in my reviews, so I will do so here. I read a lot of books, especially romance, but this one just didn’t hit all the marks for me.

The story is good and I enjoyed the back and forth POV between the characters; most of my favorite romance books are that way. I liked how the different personalities of the characters unraveled, but I had a difficult time connecting to them. I think that’s what caused it to be a slow-read for me. I expected to devour it in a day or two (normal for me), but it took me over a week and it was a struggle at that pace.

The second thing that caused me to rate it lower is purely personal preference. I don’t mind some steam and spice in my romance, but the language and the scenes were too much for me and I had to skip over quite a few scenes. Like I said, this was my first one of Delong’s books, so I didn’t know what to expect and that’s on me for not doing research, but it hindered my enjoyment and therefore, my rating.

Overall, if you like a grumpy/grumpy romance with layered characters, explicit language, and open-door scenes, this would be a good one for you. It’s just not for me.

I liked the book, the story is very well written, and we get to know the characters very well through their thoughts, and their actions. Sawyer and Kadence are different and similar at the same time. They both had to face a lot of difficult times in their past, that led them to build up a wall between them and the world outside. At first, they feel attraction to one another, but they struggle and find it hard to completely understand each other. Eventually and gradually they realise that there’s something more than physical between them, and they need each other more than anything else.
I loved the way Sawyer took care of Kadence, and her way to gain a place in his heart, even though I didn’t like so much the fact that she was almost using him to buy her food at first. Okay, life wasn’t easy for her (actually it was really awful), but she had to think she wasn’t the only one who might have had problems. Anyway, Sawyer, despite his own flaws, managed to break her armour, and lead her to trust him, and the world outside.
I also have to say that I loved the crew of friends at the Creek Valley Creamery, as well as the pharmacy owner, that helped them to consider different points of view, contributing to their happily ever after.

This is the third book in the creek valley creamery series that being said, I have not read the first two books in the series but I don’t feel like I missed anything pertinent by reading this one first.

🍨Trope/things it has🍦
- Small town Romance
- Bad boy
- on the run
- Broken families
- Traumatic pasts
- Found family
(TWs for past abuse by family & relationships, foster homes)

Kadence left behind her past life and ends up landing just outside a small town where she meets bad boy Sawyer and instantly places him into the “absolutely not” category. She avoids him at all costs unless there’s food involved in which case she swindles him out of meals which I found hilarious. This doesn’t sway Sawyer in the slightest he’s determined to get to know Kadence and all of her painful memories.

I know Sawyer is going through his own past trauma, but I will say at times he made me so dang angry. personally, for me he did an unforgivable thing to Kadence😤.

What overall I really enjoyed reading this book. In some ways it reminded me of the book “because of me” by Katie Pearson only a lot less dark. So if you loved that book like me you are sure to enjoy this one as well!

I’m so happy to be back in Creek Valley for the third time! The Creek Valley Creamery Crew caught my eye and my heart with the very first chapter of the first book. Now, three books later, we get to dive deeper into Sawyer’s story. Sawyer was the outsider at CVC. He was there because Bernie saw something special in him. He’s still around because of the unconditional love from Bernie and the rest of the CVC crew.
Kadance has been around town for about a year before she bumps into Sawyer at The Bar. She’s on the run from a hard life back in Oklahoma. After too many run ins with the “bad kind if guys”, Kadance has built up some pretty thick walls that she doesn’t want anyone to break down.
Sawyer is attracted immediately, but Kadance is wary. Can she trust this new “bad boy”? Is he going to be just like the others? Will he win her over and show her what it feels like to be loved unconditionally?
If you have read any of the author’s previous books, you know that once you start Tin Roof Sunday, you won’t be able to put it down. Join Kadance and Sawyer on their wild ride. You’ll love it!

This small town romance features Sawyer and Kadence. Kadence has been through a lot in her life and she doesn't really trust anyone. As she keeps bumping into Sawyer in town, she grows to trust him a little more each time. Soon, she agrees to a relationship with him, even though she scared to trust anyone with her body and her heart. Sawyer is much the same, because of who he was in the past, he feels unworthy of anyone's love or to have anyone for him to love. When Kadence's past shows up in town, will they be able to see their way through or will it be over for good?

I loved both of these characters and seeing Kady grow into a whole person who believed she deserved Sawyer was awesome. Sawyer was already head over heels in love with Kady before he ever realized it because he didn't believe he deserved to be loved. They were perfect only for each other. Be sure to get the bonus epilogue for this one too, it's super sweet.

This was my first Taylor DeLong book and I was definitely impressed with the writing. I loved that all of the characters in this book, apparently have their own books. I can't wait to read their stories as well. I loved the depth of the characters. Kadence and Sawyer both had bad childhoods, especially kadence. Right away, you can tell kadence has secrets and has definitely been through trauma and part of what got me hooked to this story is that I wanted to find out what happened to her. I loved kadence and Sawyers relationship. Sawyer was definitely determined to break down kadences walls and seemed to want to take care of her since their first meeting. It's also a very steamy book. It's definitely a book I recommend.

I received an ARC copy of this book. Its the first book I’ve read of Taylor’s but I really enjoyed it. The start was a little slow, but the book overall was fun to read and me hooked.

Sawyer, one of our main characters, comes across as a bit of a jerk, but deep down he’s got a lot of good in him. Kadence, our other main character, has been through it. She’s had a rough go of things and is just trying to start over with a fresh slate. Kadence at first is hesitant with Sawyer. Their first meeting doesn’t go all that well. Sawyer reminds Kadence of some people she’d rather forget.

Its an emotional book, with some spicy parts. You’ll definitely go through a range of emotions but its worth it. I will definitely be checking out more of Taylor Delong’s books in the future.

This is a beautifully written story about Kady who has had a tragic past and runs away to Massachusetts, hopefully covering her tracks. She meets Sawyer who also has had a difficult past in a bar but she is slow to trust him. Neither wants marriage but just a comfortable relationship. Will they be able to have that relationship or will Kady's past come back to destroy all the trust they have gained? This story will captivate you with all emotional highs and slows, heartbreak, danger, and steamy romance. The supporting characters are well-developed and relatable. The Creek Valley Creamery will have you drooling for ice cream. The bonus epilogue will absolutely touch your heart. Loved it.

Reading Tin Roof Sunday and getting to know Sawyer and Kadence was like peeling an onion. They both had many layers. Sawyer appeared to be a complete douche canoe, but as he revealed more of his inner self he really was a kind, caring gem. Kadence had her own layers to peel. Hers were more difficult to uncover but as she got comfortable with Sawyer, she laid herself bare. These two characters went together like peanut butter and jelly. I had all the feels for Sawyer and Kady. They were complex characters but that made their personalities multifaceted. Bernie J was a saint who saw potential in his creamery crew that they themselves didn't see until they were ready. I loved visiting with the characters from the first two stories. The banter among the friends really cemented the family Bernie J created with his love and guidance.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

A beautiful romance ❤️

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would in the beginning! It was a little slow to start for me personally but it really picked up! I loved Kadence and Sawyers story and now I have to read the first two books!

I love small town and this one gives aaaalll the small town cozy vibes. Plus I love that Kadence’s love language is food! Food is also the way to my heart 🤣

I loved how Sawyer and Kadence were able to work through past traumas and come together. I definitely cried at the end and during the bonus epilogue. Overall this was a beautiful story and I loved the vibes the Creamery Crew gives off.

“You Are My More”

Great small town romance written by Taylor Delong. Although this book is the third in its series, it can be read as a standalone. But take it from me you will go back and read the first two, because the Creek Valley Creamery Crew will pull you in.
This book follows Sawyer and Kadence. Kadence comes to this small town to escape her past, and by chance meets this cocky good looking, guitar player in a bar.
Through ups and downs and a lot of resisting they fall in love. But is love enough?
There is a lot of back story especially with Kadence and her past catches up with her.
Lovely small town love story.

I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

I was sent this book as an arc for my honest review. This is the first book I've read by the author. I know it's the third book in the series, I didn't feel like I missed too much though stepping into it blind since each book is different couple. I'll definitely be going back to read the first two books now that I discovered this author.

If you love a good small Town romance with a grumpy man and a troubled heroine then you should definitely read this book.

I will say it starts out kind of slow but once the couple finally gets together it picks up and was a cute story. And who doesn't love anything to do with icecream?!? I definitely recommend this book.

I received an ARC of Tin Roof Sunday (thank you Taylor Delong!) and I adored it. No spoilers here but the book had a great plot, enough spice, and great pacing. I appreciate an author who keeps a realistic timeline in a love story! I enjoyed reading about two flawed characters who found one another and healed one another. My only gripe (and this is a me thing) I detest the word “panties” and it is used several times throughout this book. Other than that, I honestly would give this book 4.5 stars!

I received an ARC e-copy of this book from Taylor Delong.

I thought this book was a light, quick read that takes place in a small town. The beginning felt a little slow to me, but once the characters moved past their physical relationship, i enjoyed them getting to know each other.

There were a few times where i felt the conversation didn’t have a natural flow, so i had to stop and re-read.

But overall, this was a cute story that had the “small town feel” and a cute couple that grows together!

AWW I enjoyed this sweet small-town story!! The MCs are amazing, the growth they show in the story is amazing. They both come from troubled pasts, but how they overcome everything is a great part of the story.

Sawyer is the bad boy a** whole of his group of friends, but due to one man he gained a great group of friends. Sawyer has many layers to him that start peeling away when he meets the new girl in town Kadence.

Kadence is the new girl in town, running from a past trying to make a future for herself. Meeting Sawyer was not what she wanted. She did not want to get involved with a man like him. However, falling for him may be the best possible outcome for her.

I truly enjoyed the story, the world building was excellent, as the reader I felt like I could actually see the small town and felt like I was at the creamery with them. This was a quick read story, that was enjoyable and couldn't be put down.

Cherry on Top

I read Tin Roof Sunday as an ARC, reading Taylor Delong for the first time. I took a leap of faith and read book number 3 without reading the others. And I can tell you this…when I finished book three I right away went to the beginning of the series!

I love the character building and the vivid world that has been created not only in their environment but the workings within a group of friends. The ups, the downs, and everything in between.

People are not perfect and this series hits home on that. I highly recommend this series.

I had the opportunity to read this as an ARC. It was the first time reading anything written by Taylor Delong. This book definitely did not disappoint. The character development was super relatable and great to see. Everybody has a history that makes them who they currently are. It only takes one person to help them see themselves for more than that trauma. Although this was book three in a series I think it was well written enough to be a standalone too. Now I’m headed to check out the other books in the series!!!

*Trigger warning- this book contains scenes that deal with domestic violence, family violence, and abuse.

This was a good book with good character development. This m/f romance while part of a series definitely can be read alone.

The female character has had a hard road and her past is constantly getting in her head.

The male too has had a rough past and has his walls up.

These two are able to weather those issues and find a sweetness that isn’t just the ice cream from the the store which is central to this story.

This book is definitely worth the read.

Something about a small town romance that always gets me! This was my first time reading a book apart of the Creek Valley Creamery series and it won’t be the last.

I love that Kadence takes her past and grows from it. Though it still haunts her, she does her best to make something for herself. She learns what she deserves and she doesn’t take no for an answer.

Sawyer on the other hand doesn’t think he deserves the loves that Kadence gives. He thinks she deserves better than what he can offer even though what he’s offering is all she ever wanted and needed.

I highly suggest this book ❤️
