my six year old didn't love this one. Hopefully a different book in the same series will work for her since these are perfect for her reading level.

This one was another classroom read that I picked up and read with one of my students for Accelerated Reader. It's part of a series of books about Katie Woo and her friends. In this one, Katie is convinced that Spring is the best season. Her friend Pedro likes winter, and her friend JoJo says summer is the best. The kids debate the merits of each, but ultimately decide that any season is the best when they are all together.

I thought the book was very cute and engaging. The illustrations really added to the text. The plot was predictable, but entertaining for young readers, and the characters were realistic. I really enjoyed this one, and so did my student. I think it would be great to add to a classroom library and as a read-aloud. It would also be wonderful for parents and children to read together. It would also be amazing for those fledgling readers who are just getting into chapter books. I recommend it for all those purposes.

I've enjoyed most of the other Katie Woo books, but this one just seemed repetitive and slightly boring.
