I feel that I should start out this review with the acknowledgment that I am not a fan of scientifically driven fiction of any kind. I'm more a paranormal fiction fan. Yet, I did enjoy this book immensely (aside from the heavier scientific elements). Fortunately, for me, most of the scientific elements were neatly buried and/or augmented by endearing life struggles as a result of a disaster of a "post-apocalyptic" nature - forcing people to come to terms with a new way of life. Fast-paced, visual and very thought-provoking. My husband read it and loved it and my mother, who isn't a big reader, says she's really "into it." Well done, Brad!
