I enjoyed reading this book, which was a recommendation from a woman whose husband of 60 some years had died. I was not in the same situation she was, but am very interested in Extraordinary Encounters and find them encouraging to life. There are plenty of stories and good old fashion advice for people who are going through grief and sorrow. The book was a good reminder of the importance of living amid sorrow.

Since I am coming to the last stages of my grieving process I thought it would be good to finish up the books I bought on grieving early on. I am already pretty comfortable with some of the concepts this book reveals so it was potentially less beneficial for me. I think this would be better for someone earlier on in the process or someone that is looking for validation of their spiritual experiences.

Or, maybe it is just not all that great.

Very inspiring. I would have given it a higher rating if the author had clearly attributed these visitations, messages and signs to a God in Heaven, instead of skirting around the issue of where these encounters stem from.
