Written I believe 6th in the series but takes place during the last half of the first book it is better to read it after the first and before the second.

Geris and Dak. We met and saw some of their relationship in the first book The Empress New Clothes. Now in this one we get things from Geris persective as well as a few things we didn't know. Like Rustian encounters, meeting Keta's family on his planet and the orgasmic greeting she receives from 5 pugmuffs.

There is an overlap in stories from thi

I like this story since it tells the first story, but from Geris's point of view and how Jek meets Ya'rat. However this is the last book I have because the prices are ridiculous so I may never know what the conclusion of this (view spoiler)

Another excellent story in the series.

The heroine Geris was bold, outspoken and a little smart-alecky, but I still liked her. I liked how she stood up for her husband when his brothers hurt his feelings. For the first half of the story, she fought Dak so much it was a wonder he didn't give up, but he toughed it out, and they turned out to be fabulous for each other.

A couple of times, Geris refers to Dot, a character in the story Devilish Dot (Manaconda anthology). It is not necessary to read the

I liked it i thought it was just right as a follow up to Kyra's friend Geris. Dak was a lovable guy i like the way the story went along. I almost didn't buy the follow ups because of the bad reviews they got but i took a chance and liked them.

Take a chance if this is your type of book it's readable.

I'm reading these books totally out of order. This is actually book #1.5 I think and is about Geris. Since I haven't read book #1, I have no idea why Dak didn't take Geris when Kara was kidnapped, but he comes back for her 3 months to him, 3 years to her later. This woman responds like a normal human being to all the strange customs I think and although I think the author was trying to portray her as kind of a bitch, she actually took everything a lot better than most people would. The cover in ...more

Ok Ladies, Let me just say this book was wow, freaking amazing. This is the first book I have read and it seems to be a series so me saying that there was no "real" story line may be unfair. This book had some amazing erotic imagery. The Rustians? Oh my word, amazing little creatures. Over all the book was a good read and I even laughed out loud once or twice. There were a couple of times where I though a line was total cheese and rolled my eyes but over all the book was very entertaining and a ...more

This is the story of Geris and Dak. It should really follow after book one. There is some overlap between the stories. It's not essential that you read books in order though. It was an ok story but not a standout one for me.

Another entertaining and humourous story in this series. As Geris travels from earth to Tryston with Dak, she encounters an assortment of denizens of space and surprises that challenge her ability to adjust to this new reality. In a similar vein, her feistiness and sassiness challenge Dak's patience and his attempts to dominate her. I found though that I really liked Dak, who, in his own way, is a gentle soul. This story also includes background information on Tyra and Geris that explains their ...more

If you read the sequence of the series in Jaid Black website, this book is no 6 but actually it should be read after you read the 1st book. The story is so short, not like the 1st book (but when I’m thinking about the other books in the series, the number 1 is the only one that can be called a novel, while others are more to novella). I’m not quite satisfied with this book, maybe because for me it is too short. The characters and story are not yet well developed but the author already cut it sho ...more

Overall: I had wondered what happened between Geris and Dak when he claimed her and their story was just what i needed to read from this series. Geris is the character that I can relate to the most because i would've been bitching and screaming just the way she did. My favorite part of this whole book has to be these Rasfitans, and i want to know where i can find some. =D lol I really loved that Geris stands up for Dak even if he is an all mighty powerful warrior. This book has to be my

Having already read multiple Trek Mi Q'an books I am familiar with the story of Geris and Dak of course but it was great to get a fuller story to what happened between them. There is some overlap here and there but it adds more details or a different perspective in those parts of the book so it really isn't repetitive to what we read in The Empress' New Clothes which is good in my opinion. Another winner in the series. :D

This is supposed to be read after the first book, but now I can understand why instead it is placed on the last part of the series. This is the story of Geris and Dak which are described from the first book. The one thing I can't comprehend is that Jaid Black created alien characters which are very sexual in nature (male and female creatures that craves bodily fluids). Anyway, this book also describes Y'rat? and Jek that I can understand them somehow. This is an entertaining read.

So this was interesting.

It gave me a better insight into the minds of Dak and Geris. But this book could have definitely not been written. Most of the important event had already been stated in the previous book. The only upside was the hilarious encounters between Dak and Geris when Geris was eager to get her way.

love it!!!

Yah! We get Geris and Dak story. So glad and I love how it shows What Geris went through and showed why Kyra and her have a bond. I love that they are able to be true sisters and love how it is all coming together...can not wait for more!

Two words: weird and m'eh. I guess it was worth what I paid for it, which was 48 cents. Strange moons and planets where there are wild men (think one feet tall men) that perform sexual acts on you as their sustenance.

3 1/2 stars. Geris is a good character and has a great sense of humor. Dak has some funny lines as well. The sex in these books is getting kinda tedious with me though- Jaid Black seems to write the same scenes over and over again.

I enjoyed this short erotic paranormal story with another new planet of sexy beings but this series would have been better as one long book because the other thread in this story didn't really relate well. Dak goes to earth to get his life mate Geris.

Although I found some of the alien life a bit questioning I loved the two main characters. Geris and Dak were good together. I would recommend this book.
