Thrifted in Texas, soon to be gifted to my niece in Pennsylvania where I once met Punxsutawney Phil himself. Nothing really unique or clever about this tale but I did like the dancing animals and the old badger being a sweetie. The biggest gasp from me came on the last page when I realized it’s illustrated but the same person who did ‘Little House on the Prairie’ and the Kirsten ‘American Girl’ books!! Talk about influential to my childhood!!

Beautifully illustrated a great little book about the the first groundhog being the first one out of its burrow on February 2nd. The first graders certainly loved it.
