This was a very easy read that offered several useful tips for couples struggling with sexual dysfunctions. Although definitely not a comprehensive cure-all, I found it helpful to use as a foundation for some issues that could likely come up during couple's therapy.

The description makes it sound like this book is for people with problems and I think “problems” might be too strong of a word. While I do think it is effective for getting past road blocks and challenges, it addresses smaller things like stress and self-image issues, which people might be more likely to struggle through in silence, rather than labeling those things as full blown problems and seeking help.

And to quote the title of the second chapter, it’s “the sex education you never had.” That chapter alone makes it worth the read, in my opinion. The information and suggestions are presented in a straight forward way, which normalizes concerns and awkwardness. It was honestly refreshing to read about sex in that manner.

I could definitely see revisiting this book in the future while navigating different stages of life.
