Thank you for this incredibly personal, raw, emotional-filled journey that is A Taste of Opportunity! I have worked in the food industry before but am no longer in it, and this book still sings to me. I recognize the love, care, the aspirations that are required when working in the food industry. I certainly still love food. To me, reading this was pure joy with expert knowledge. You can tell Renee is a food lover and an excellent human. It is so personal and so FUN! The whole way through, I can’t help but feel Renee is a genuine, helpful friend who cares about the success of the reader. My favorite part is when Renee drops mouthing watering descriptions and then hits us with the recipe a page later! It’s genius! And I’m crazy about it. A MUST READ for anyone in the industry...and a great gift!

Extremely readable and thought provoking. I’m not in the food industry but Renee offered many insights into the world of, well, work. Everyone can learn something about their place in their chosen industry, how to advance within it, and how to work with others, by reading this book. Wonderful use of “mise en place” and the QR codes linking to videos is brilliant.
