I really liked this and it made a lot of sense to me. I am not sure how they made this concept into a whole book as it could be explained fairly quickly with a chart and explanation, but nevertheless it opened my eyes and implementing some of its principles already has me feeling healthier.
Great book. It would be tough to do- the diet, but I see a lot of health benefits of it. I think there are things to be taken from this book, but moderation is everything
The author is very passionate about Ph and how it affects our health. She does a good job at making her case for eating a Ph-balanced diet and seems to have plenty of scientific research to back her up. At times, she comes across as a little pushy and somewhat alarmist, but I didn't mind that. Of course she is a biased writer on the subject. I thought she did a good job of explaining the benefits of a Ph-balanced diet in a way that is easy to understand, accessible, and organized.
This book was one part hokey, one part marketing, and eight parts quality content. And I would have never picked it up if a trusted friend hadn't recommended it highly. After all, she had gotten me drinking lemon water, I should at least understand why.
I like this book because it explains how diet effects health in a body-chemistry way.
This book is kicking off a month-long water challenge at work...wish me luck. We are actually going to be testing our body's pH levels daily as we follow the advice in this book. It was an easy read and the information makes sense. I appreciated the motivation to take better care of my health.
Alice had me read this book. I was quite informing. I will probably try to incorporate much of what it taught into my life to see if I can get my health at a higher level.
