About the Author: Margaret J. McMaster published her first book of middle-grade fiction, Carried Away on Licorice Days, in 2008. This is what she calls retirement after working in education, business, and library services. Who doesn't love to slow down and drift back to childhood once in a while. Adored this read. You fall in love with the characters as well as the storyline.
I won this through Goodreads first reads and thought it was great!! It is a kids book recommended for ages 7+ and I think that is the perfect age for this. It was fun and kinda crazy and just perfect for a kids book. I can't wait to read it to my son when he gets older!!! He is going to love it!
A big rave for Margaret J. McMaster!!!! My kids usually do not like to read chapter books, but when they started reading this book they really enjoyed it!!! The writing is captivating ,the pictures in the book are marvelous and the stories are really fun! Highly recommended!!

I won this book through Goodreads giveaway. I love this book! I had so much fun reading it with my 8 year old. The characters were funny and interesting. The relationships building with each new story, a nice intermediate chapter book for readers entering chapter books.
