great starter book, since I'd never really cooked Indian before. From my experience, though, I felt I could add more spices (maybe 2x) what is recommended in the recipes (unless I'm doing it wrong...which I could be).

And I did have a little problem with the lack of "low/med/high" heat specification.

But the array of dishes, description of spices, photos, and good mixture of ingredients is great! It's been a great starting point from which to jump.
