Just an OK ready for me. Nothing to write home about. I thought the heroine alternated between "woe is me" and being a bit of a loose woman, like she couldn't make up her mind what she wanted.

I'd like to read the heroine's brothers story but I don't think I'm going to pay for a full length book by this author again. As I said, just OK.

I thoroughly enjoyed this love story. It had just the right amount of smut (too much can bring a story down for me but I like a little) and the basic story besides the romance was interesting too. The love scenes were a little cheesy at times but it is a Harlequin romance novel so you have to kind of expect that. I loved Trey though. I'm a sucker for a cowboy.

Edited: Ok after I thought about it for a little bit I had to drop this book down a star because of the way it dealt with an issue that I

Dear Reader,

After being published in fourteen historical western romances, most of them with Harlequin Historicals, I’m really enjoying the new turn my career has taken. I’ve jumped in feet first with a new 1920s series called The Secret Six, and it’s chock-full of Mafia, Prohibition, suspense, and of course, romance!

THE SPYGLASS PROJECT kicked off the series, and I released a short story, IN THE
