I read this over several months while working with an executive coach. Gave it five stars because I have read a lot of leadership books and this one has been the most impactful thus far. That is probably more a combination of the coach and the book taken together. The practical examples of realistic dysfunction in relationships and organizations and then how to both view and manage those differently made it very easy to take the lessons and put them into practice. I have noticed a big improvement in my leadership behaviors, my anxiety has reduced, and am beginning to see the impacts to my organization as well. Have recommended this book to others who also found it very helpful. Probably tough to read all the way through at one time; take it chapter by chapter and test out the theories and challenge questions. Give it a try!

Read this to see if it'd be appropriate for my teacher leaders. It's not, but provided some insights about how to deal with relational conflict, both at work and in personal life.

It's written in this bizarre, fictionalized case study format.
