This is a book I've wanted to read since it was released back in 2010, and I finally got the chance to!
This books covers everything from A to Z to looking and feeling your best in your own skin, it's filled with studies and facts but in a good way (not like a textbook) and it explains everything in an easy to understand way.
The book lays out a 6 week transformation plan that includes an eating plan, a workout plan, and beauty hacks. All of which don't sound impossible at all, and I'm planning on following it (hopefully).
I do recommend reading it even if you're not planning to follow up with the plan, it's very informative and gives you a different perspective on body image and self confidence.
I’ve had this book sitting on my bookshelf probably since it came out 8 years ago. Figured it was probably time to crack it open. Fitness/diet books are useless to me because I never follow the recipes or exercises in them. I think if you are the type of person who will take the time to do the 6-week plan, then this would be a good book for you. I do have the Look Better Naked workout dvd which I do enjoy and usually use on the rare occasion that I actually do exercise.
When I first picked up this book I was like another diet book. I found this book to be so much more than a diet book.
Michele Promaulayko has tips not just to look better but to feel better now. I believe that if you don't love yourself for who you are you are not going to be happy either way. She talks about being able to love who you are because that in the end will help you look better naked. It's all about confidence.
I've read through this book before and really enjoyed it. Many smart and "right" ideas. I really must dust it off and get back into it. I had slimmed down to where I want to be and truly felt better naked. No not all thanks this book of course, but with the help of Weight Watchers and reading good info like this.
If you tell yourself enough of the good stuff often enough the bad stuff will go away (again!).
I give this book an A+!! My entire body has been transformed, I have maintained my shape, muscle formation, and tone by following the exercises. I now know how to keep a well-balanced diet because I followed the meal plan she includes in this book!
Definitely a MUST-HAVE on your reading list and lifestyle.
I like the Idea of this book. Who doesn't want to look better naked? It would be a good kick start for a diet. But in general If you cut back your cals and work out your going to look better naked. Most of this book was trying to get you to see your self as good looking now.
I love this book! I always picked it up at Barnes and Noble and would sit and read in it...finally I just bought it, so I could bring it home. LOL! It has lots of great tips, recipes, and workouts.
Although the food in the book is mostly what I eat, I need the food plan. The exercises are all good, lots of variety so you won't get bored following the plan.
this is a great book with wonderful ideas. it really is a full mind and body boost. 3 stars because I found the workouts to be just not for me at all. the warm up was out of control.
I got this book for the exercise plans, it has customizable routines based on areas you'd like to target. The rest of the book is a little too "women's magazine".
There is better information/structure out there. This is an extended, more pricey woman's magazine article. Think of it as a January issue, telling you sll the ways to improve yourself this year.
