“I’m her dirty little secret, the one she loves to hate.”

She knows just what to say to cut deep, and I know how to press every single button she has.
We hate each other, until one night after I lose the biggest football game of the year.
When she offers the kind of mercy I need.
It changes everything… until the next morning.
Now I’m her dirty little secret, and she’s avoiding me like the plague.

Which makes it difficult when we get partnered on a project
and we’re stuck on a couple’s trip with our friends.

The tension between us is sky high.
So I propose a way to lower it: enemies with benefits.
One hotel room. A few days. A chance to let our little “hateship” run its course.

Except when it’s unexpectedly cut short, I’m not ready to give her up.
And I think I might be a bad habit she can’t quit, despite how smart she is.

But we have bigger problems, and both of our post-college careers are on the line.
I’m about to find out if I can win this game or fumble the two most important plays of my life.

Easton Westfield Y’all!!!!
I just knew he was going to blow my mind, and this football catchin’, pretty boy lookin’, dirty mouth talkin’, white knight did NOT disappoint.
I loved the chemistry, and the heated banter between Easton and Wren.
The silent support, and sense of understanding they provided one another, was fantastic to see play out throughout the story.
Enemies to lovers has never felt this good.

I’m excited to see what the future holds for this amazing group of friends,as they take on NFL careers and exciting new beginnings.
I’m stoked to get another glimpse of Ben and Violet!!!!

Tropes:
- frenemies with benefits
- secret relationship
- college sports
- forced proximity
- he fell first

After the loss of their championship game thanks to Easton fumbling the ball, Liv, Mac and the boys decide to throw a small party to smooth over the sting. Too bad all Easton wants is to be anywhere else, and decides to drink himself stupid and wallow in Wren’s room to escape the party.

When Wren comes home after a long night working at her family’s bar and finds Easton in her bed, their hate flirting and snarky banter finally comes to a head and they bang it out. Needless to say I loved every angsty and filthy moment that followed after—even if I did want to strangle Wren a few times for how she acted and treated Easton.

Honestly though, I don’t have enough words to describe how much I love this series and how much I enjoyed Easton and Wren’s story. They weren’t my favorite couple, I think that title is still Liv & Liam’s, but they came pretty damn close!

I did have a lot of frustration when it came to Wren and their friends expecting the worst of Easton because of his past and not giving him enough credit… He was such a cinnamon roll underneath his playboy ways, and really was such a wonderful character. I just hated how much his friends couldn’t see that he wanted to & could change, and that he really would be the best boyfriend for Wren.

So looking forward to Ben’s book, but not looking forward to this series ending 😭

Can I give more than five stars?!
This was the first book I’ve read by this Author.
I read this ARC in 24 hours! Didn’t want to put it down it was so good.

This is an interconnected standalone
I haven’t read the others but after devouring this one I think I need to.

Wren is the FMC and man is she feisty! She is independent and wants no handouts. She doesn’t so relationships because she is always working at the bar she’s taken over from her Gramps or she’s at her college classes. But even she can’t deny Easton Westfield no matter how hard she fights it.

Easton the MMC…..The mouth on this man 🫢🥵 he is looking to get drafted in the NFL. He is wealthy and has a Fuck boy reputation. But he undeniably wants Wren. And he knows she wants him too he just has to show her.

These two come together in a “hateship” a Frenemies with benefits and it gets spicyyyyy! The VIP club scene was my favorite 😉
Their chemistry and tension is everything!
I freaking loved the banter between them.

The way Easton made Wren see who he truly was, Swoons***
New book boyfriend?! YES!

This book had everything, I highly recommend.

“Because you like how I fuck you. How dirty I am. How I give you what you want. You love it so much that you can’t even stand to go back to the room before you get my cock.”

Dirty as fuck. That’s three words I could use to describe a dream book. Enemies to lovers and lots of smut.

“Him teasing me about wanting to fuck me. Me telling him to go to hell knowing he has zero interest in carrying through.”

I thought maybe I wouldn’t like the beginning, but I ended up really liking it. Something about denying something that maybe isn’t the best, but giving into it. It’s like that.

“I know she’s my fucking person”.

The one thing I didn’t like was how his supposed friends were treating him like he was a douchebag, they each were playboys in their own ways. It just seemed unnecessary. But I loved Wren and East’s story.

Ben: "I'm checking to see when it dropped below zero in Hell."

Yep. I felt that, Ben.🤣

When one mentions the trope of "he falls first", you never would expect for Easton Westfield to fall into that category. EVER. He's been the ultimate, textbook case of college playboy throughout the first two books in this series.

From Easton & Wren's first "hate" filled hook-up, there was just this vibe between them that you had to know was going to go supernova and quick.

Wren has this perception of who East is and she's just not willing to budge from it. East is determined to prove to her that there's more to him than the playboy rich kid that she thinks he is. The things that East concocts, over and over, to get opportunities to prove to Wren that he's MORE are sweet and sometimes wild. They're definitely swoon worthy.

“The way she touches me, the way she talks to me, the way she sees me—I know she’s my f***ing person.”

Much to Wren's frustration at times, he's there for her every time she turns around. Her knight in shining armor. Riding in to save her every time. She's still got herself convinced that this is all just a game of frenemies with benefits though. She's a tough nut to crack, this one.

I love their banter, their play fights, their dirty talk, and the TENSION! Hiding in plain sight from their friends. This hateship is ALL THE THINGS!

I got super frustrated with the friend group, guys & gals, because they just would not let up on the constant negativity where East was concerned. Like no matter what he did that was good or positive, they just couldn't seem to see past his former self.

Always check the TW/CW:
💥Frenemies 💥Secret relationship
💥College football 💥Forced proximity

Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies:

The “𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩“ between Wren and Easton has all the 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐟𝐮𝐧 chemistry I love in an enemies with benefits romance 𝐩𝐥𝐮𝐬 all the 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐲, 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.
It’s written so well paced, I was fully engaged and entertained throughout the story.
Wren is a strong, independent hard working young woman who is learning when to be snarky and when to allow herself to be a bit softer and emotional.
Easton is an arrogant, wealthy football god who doesn’t do relationships. He’s also funny, witty and has a very surprising hidden side of kindness.
Both characters battle with each other and fight having feelings and especially 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 their real feelings.
Their enemies with benefits “𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩“ is very sexy, 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 and a lot of 𝐟𝐮𝐧. I love the push and pull, the 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐬 are great and the mild angst is perfect.
I love the way their relationship changed and the way things develop between them.
I love the secondary characters in this series of interconnected stand-alones. They are all friends, they add plenty of fun and a feeling of family. I loved the previous book 𝘋𝘌𝘓𝘈𝘠 𝘖𝘍 𝘎𝘈𝘔𝘌, I highly recommend this series and these books to anyone who loves NA romance, college romance that isn’t over dramatic or very angsty.
This book and series is 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐲, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐲 and 𝐬𝐞𝐱𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐧!

5 beautiful stars!! This is the spiciest of all the books. Enemies to lovers! It starts right off by chapter 3 them bantering and having some hateful “situations” 🥵🔥 I am not sure they ever hate each other really. They certainly don’t for long, whether they admit it or not is an entirely different thing. Easton is way more than he has been portrayed in the previous books, and he doesn’t know his self worth. Wren has a not so great history and a tougher life than the rest of this group. Easton would do anything to help her. This book is low drama for the most part. They mostly learn what it’s like to have someone love you for you …. There are hurt feelings, but they are both pretty respectful once they realize something they are doing is hurting the other. I just love both characters and their story. It was fabulous. If I hadn’t already read Bens story I would be happily off to read that next.

This one took me a bit longer to read because I was in a fantasy mood, but it's my second favorite book of this series. In Personal Foul we finally get to see Easton and Wren's relationship in the limelight. And Easton is the player turned king of romance that we love to read about in these romance novels.

Plus, there's already been so much lead up to Wren and Easton's relationship that we dive right into the spicy scenes. But then we also get to see the sweet and dedicated side of Easton, and let me tell you, that's a man anyone would be proud to be in a relationship with. He's so thoughtful and just really does his best to try and take care of Wren. I love Easton for it. And Easton alone makes me rate this one 4 stars.

This is the first book I've read from Maggie Rawdon, but it won't be my last.
In fact, as soon as I finished this one, I downloaded the first two books 😂

Wren is a badass! She's fiercely independent not only going to college but also running her grandfather's bar.

She doesn't have time for a relationship, especially the spoilt rich boy, Easton.

Easton is so much more though!

There is a ton of chemistry between these two right from the start, and once they give in to each other... let me tell you, the spice?! *chefs kiss*

I highlighted so much of this book. I love it when the hero likes to talk dirty 😏

Grab this book, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all ❤️

This book was an absolute joy and filled with the good kind of jump scare level and amount of spice. This is my first book by Maggie, but I’ve already downloaded the two books prior to this in the series.

Wren is a stressed-out college student who manages the family bar. Easton is a rich playboy who loves to have fun. These two hate each other. And what makes for a good start to a spicy relationship? Some hate.

These two are explosive. The chemistry was off the charts. The real star of the book was East. His dirty talking is immaculate and watching him transition his ways to convincing her to love him was amazing. Adored him from start to finish. And, Wren deserved the world.

This book was everything I love about a college sports romance. It was fun, light, and all kinds of spicy.

Enemies with Benefits
Secret Relationship
College Sports
Forced Proximity

Tell me how I demolished this book, it’s such a quick read, I totally lost myself in.
I’m obsessed with Easton and Wrens story. There wasn’t much football in this sports romance, but I loved it all the same. Wren has a lot on her plate with school, work and her grandpa. She doesn’t have time for a relationship, and isn’t interested in being one of the many lovers of Easton.

Easton the football player, hot shot, has all the girls, wants Wren. Easton has a complicated background, and is more than meets the eye. Honestly he’s such a softy, and caring person.

After one hookup at a party, these two vow it’s a one time thing. Which of course doesn’t happen. They’re drawn to each other and decide to form a Hateship. Which they attempt to hide from their friend group. Their banter, and jokes kept me interested but the SPICE in this book is perfection, as well as the dirty talk. Easton does NOT disappoint.

This book was just everything! I absolutely devoured this read. Sports romances are up there in my favorite sub genres and this one was absolute perfection. East and Wren are two characters who will stick with me for a long time. Two stubborn people who hate hate but love harder.

The banter between them had me flipping the pages as quickly as I could. These two went through a rollercoaster of emotions together but the strength they have together is just unmatched. I really loved these two.

Such a great read!

ARC kindly provided for the author in exchange for an honest review

I LOVE the way Maggie Rawdon never ceases to amaze me with every book! And Personal Foul has been my biggest surprise with this author: I didn't expect the direction that the love story between Easton & Wren was going to take nor that of their characters, and of course I also didn't expect to love East madly and for him to become my new favorite of Maggie boys, don't tell Waylon!

Wren is also my favorite of the girls since I read Play Fake, and after reading her here I fell more in love with her! She is a very hard-working girl, she runs the family bar, is a good student, takes care of Liv & Mac whenever she gets the chance and also her grandfather who is her only family. He also HATES Easton with all his might because she sees him as a rich & privileged boy who doesn't have to work for anything, nor is he serious about anything other than football, however she can't avoid the attraction she feel towards him, or feel sorry for him when she is going through a difficult situation.

But in reality Easton is very different from what Wren and many people on campus believe, he is a flirtatious & sexy guy, but also very sweet, tender, he cares about the people he loves, he hides some secrets about his family life and that he lives a lot of stress to maintain the sporting legacy of the Westfields. East is also an expert at teasing Wren, he knows perfectly well how to make her angry, and just like her, he can't help the attraction he feels for Wren after every argument.

I have to say that what I loved the most about Easton & Wren was how their relationship began: with a suddenone night stand that neither of them can get out of their heads. That's why Easton makes his mission to convince Wren to be frenemies with benefits on the vacation they're going to have to spend together, and from there I love their story even more so because Maggie let us see an East who is committed, attentive to details and who can be so adorable & considerate, which causes Wren's opinion to change completely and she begin to wonder what will happen when the tripp is over. And of course, being a book by Maggie Rawdon, you couldn't miss a healthy dose of drama that gave Personal Foul the perfect touch.

They say that there's a fine line between love and hate and this third installment in Ms. Rawdon's New Adult sports series definitely proves that as two apparent opposites find a surprising connection once they work through the antagonistic feelings that have clung to them for years. At first they keep the connection a secret, but before long he decides he wants more in a delightful romance teeming with sexual tension and sizzling banter!

Easton Westfield is the Big Man on Campus, admired by the boys and wanted by the girls. He's the rich boy who seems to have it all, living a life of ease. Throughout the previous books in this series Easton's enjoyed his playboy persona, but fears over his future and a game loss have left him bruised. Into this moment of self-doubts comes the hard-working Wren...and an unexpected one night stand full of dirty talk and intimate moments that will make you blush.

These two might want to ignore what happened that night but fate continually puts them together in close quarters...first for a school project and then when sharing a room while on vacation. Their time together soon turns up the heat and has each learning more about them than what they show the world. While Wren wants to keep their sizzling connection secret it's clear that Easton wants to shout it from the rooftops. With each turn of the page Easton shows himself to be more than what others think, less of a playboy and more of a swoon-worthy boyfriend. Through subtle acts and big words and deeds Easton shows a lovable and endearing side that made him a delicious book boyfriend.

Wren was an independent young woman, strong-willed, and caring. She's got a lot on her plate with helping run her grandfather's bar, caring for him, and going to school. Their one night together was a moment of weakness in her mind which is why she continues to give him the cold shoulder. When keeping their secret no longer works for him she'll have to decide if she'll continue to believe his reputation or trust in the way he's proven himself to her. Wren frustrated me a time or two with the unpleasant way she treated Easton, because over and over his actions were those of a man in love...a man quick to come to her rescue. Their friend group frustrated me too with their condemnation of his past, pushing Wren to always assume the worst.

Despite those small quibbles I still found this a delightful tale with sizzling, witty banter, actions that felt like verbal foreplay, and an erotic dance of frenemies to lovers. Easton's a flawless hero, a young man who's more than what others see and think. He has a tough exterior early on but soon shows a soft underbelly that charmed me and had me falling in love with him. Wren's a tough heroine who can give as good as she gets, she can easily go toe to toe with Easton too to add even more heat to their scenes. It took her awhile to accept the truth about Easton but it gave me more time to fall in love with him as he set out to prove himself. This is another wonderful book in Ms. Rawdon's series and I highly recommend it to others!

I’m a big fan of the enemies to lovers trope, and don’t think I’ve read one in awhile — and I loved this one a lot. Wren and Easton more frenemies than actual enemies, and they go from hookup to sort of fake dating pretty quick. Since it’s told in dual POV, we get to see both of them battle their attraction towards each other, both physically and emotionally, from both sides, which is fun to follow along with and watch play out. Wren and Easton complement each other perfectly, and I loved getting a front row seat to their love story.

At first, I thought it was kind of strange that her two friends/roommates, Liv and Kenz, were both partnered up with guys in the same friend group — Easton’s friend group. After doing some more digging, I realized that this is actually the third book in the series (it can be read as a standalone) which was kind of frustrating because I would’ve liked to read the first two first, and this one includes plot spoilers for the first books. I’m hoping by the time I get around to reading those, I’ll have forgotten.

I do have to say that I hate how Easton took pictures on his phone of Wren’s boudoir photos. He tells her he does it as soon as he sees her, it’s not a secret, but it’s such a gross and creepy invasion of privacy that it made me not like him as much right off the bat. It makes slightly more sense after learning they’re more familiar with each other from the first two books in the series than I thought, but it was still weird of him to do, and I was worried the whole time that something was going to happen and those photos were going to get leaked somehow.

Between their couples ski trip getaway and being partners in their capstone, there’s elements of forced proximity as well, which I always love reading (and there’s only one bed)! The advertising/PR/marketing aspect of their degrees was fun to read about, since I focused my college classes and extracurriculars on PR, too. They did keep mentioning an interview associated with the project though, and I don’t think they said anything about an interview when first talking about the project, so I was confused as to what that was about — but remember this is an advanced copy, so that might be changed in the final.

Overall, this was a fun read, and I loved their friend group, too. It was (obviously) my first time reading any of Maggie’s books, but I’m looking forward to reading the first two books in this series, along with the one that comes after it! It’s no secret I love a good college sports romance, and this one checks all of those boxes. As with almost all new adult/adult books I review, this one is definitely recommended for 18+ due to some of the sexual content, but as always, don’t let me tell you what to do. Huge thanks to Maggie and her team for allowing me an early copy to review — the book is out now!

Ugh, this book is so painfully good! So much so that this entire series has just cinched its spot as my favorite series of 2023 thus far - bring it on everyone else, try to snag Maggie Rawdon's #1 spot! I dare you. And all this from a relatively new author, new to me at least. Have I told you how much I'm loving these Maggie Rawdon books? No? Well let me tell you: I flipping love this series!

This third book, "Personal Foul" focuses on the sexy playboy Easton and the incredible, beautiful, and driven Wren. In books 1 and 2 we've gotten glimpses of both of them, but I felt that up until this book that we hadn't really gotten to know Wren too much except that she was really hardworking and a true, loyal friend to those who were in her inner realm. Likewise, I suppose we should also say that about Easton - he's a loyal friend - but up until now he's been depicted as a care-free playboy (no judgement). But these two hate each other - they are frenemies.... or at least so we're made to believe. And if the whole enemies-to-lovers trope isn't just my favorite, I don't know what is! And the cherry on top? Why that's when the male lead character (MLC) is secretly (or not so secretly) in love and/or lust with the female lead character (FLC). Well, Rawdon just had to go and out-do herself (what an over-achiever! ... I jest). In book #1 we had some seriously great enemies-to-lovers where the MLC was totally in love and lust with the FLC and it was so amazingly seductive and addicting... and angsty. The best combo btw. And here I thought that story couldn't be outdone... well, enter Maggie Rawdon with this touchdown!

If Easton isn't just the most delicious surprise in this series... hang on, I need to fan myself off. He is a bit misunderstood - but that's by design. He's actually sweet and romantic, and you just want to see him fall so hard - we crave it as the reader. And might he actually be willing to do that? For Wren? The angst is palpable and so addicting. Then we've got Wren and I have to say that I loved getting all of the insight on her. I didn't realize how elusive she had kind of been up until this point. But I freekin' love this girl. She speaks her mind and takes no shit from anyone. She's just what Easton needs, in so many delicious ways. But of course these two are so perfectly matched - but that isn't so obvious to anyone at the get-go, but as the chips fall it is not just obvious but so beautiful. The twists and turns in this one... oh Maggie, what you do to us. And Easton's pet name for Wren... phewwwy... call her Princess one more time - please! *oh hmmm*

Rawdon's writing is beyond superb, it is truly addicting. With each book in the series I have caught myself reading until the wee hours of the night - you are so riveted and literally can't put it down. The writing, the storyline - just fantastic! But these characters... they are so compelling and interesting, and genuine! I think that is the real magic here. When you both connect with and sympathize with the characters on a deeper level - it makes all of the ups-and-downs all the sweeter and harder. And when that HEA at the end comes... well, let me just warn you now: Rawdon's HEA at the end in each book is... is one of the reasons that this series has cinched that #1 spot for me thus far this year. Maggie, to quote Britney Spears, "Gimme, gimme more, gimme more, gimme, gimme more!"

Oh damn, Easton & Wren bring some serious heat in this enemies to secret lovers new adult romance from Maggie Rawdon.

Maggie is a new to me author and I got maybe 3 chapters into this book before I had to drop it and go read the other two books that are a part of this interconnected friend group, Play Fake and Delay of Game. I could just tell that there was some backstory to the fiery bicker banter between Easton and Wren and I needed to see it all from the beginning. And while I'm sure it was not 100% necessary I'm glad I did because it just made Easton's fall in this book even more spectacular- especially since he was all in first.

Easton is that rich manwhore sterotype- at first. He has no problem throwing his money at things to solve a problem and has no interest in relationships and typically doesn't do repeats with women, but Wren was different and he kind of liked their hate bickering thing. Wren doesn't have time to do a relationship, she already has too much on her plate as it is with school, her grandfather and his bar while also trying to maintain her friendships. So when she comes home one night to find a half drunk Easton in her room- instead of swiftly kicking him out she does something she never thought she'd do- and then EVERYTHING changes.

I loved so much about this story. I love the banter between these two- the snark and barbs at each other are done with this kind of lightness that makes it humorous with this underlying flirt to it but when both East and Wren let their guards down just a bit and are vulnerable with each other it is ✨magic✨

I liked Wren- she works hard, puts her family and friends first and has loyalty down to a "T" but she is also flawed in her fierce independence and not wanting to accept help despite how freely she gives it out. Easton though 😍 oh that boy. Yes, he certainly plays the field but they layers and loyalty to him only further proves that while he made some questionable choices in his quest to help Waylon and Liam his heart was really in the right place, just it wasn't executed quite right. Easton said that when he found a girl that made him want more that would be it- and he was right. No one was expecting him to go and fall head over heels for Wren- least of all Wren- but good lord it was perfect.

The complete 180 that Easton pulled wasn't the best part of the story- though admittedly that version was pretty damn swoony- it was the chemistry and heat between these two that had me like 🥵 Easton might have switched up and started treating Wren like the princess he always called her- but when it came time for these two to play, well let's say the good guy left the building and I'm not mad at it 😉 And sure the story/their relationship goes from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye- sometimes that kind of thing makes me roll my eyes but I admit I didn't hate it for these two.

Now Maggie has me hooked and ready for Ben. I can't wait to find out more about this woman that has turned him from a Cassanova to a bumbling version of himself!

Steamy and angst filled, Easton and Wren’s story brings all the snarkiness and banter I was hoping for but with some seriously sweet moments along the way. Their book begins with Easton hiding away from a party that’s supposed to be celebrating his football team’s season in Wren’s bedroom while she’s at work. She returns and finds him there and is not at all happy about it. They’re definitely not friends, but at the same time there’s something more there. One thing leads to another, and they finally give in to each other, but theirs isn’t an easy love affair. A lot happens with these two, but will they be able get over their “hateship,” or will all the obstacles they’re facing be too much?

These two haven’t gotten along since the start of the series, but I love how they finally come together and find that maybe they were wrong about each other. They press each other’s buttons every chance they get, and it’s almost as though they can’t help but to try to get under one another’s skin. It’s like they’ve just been fighting this tense chemistry and seeing how their relationship pans out is so satisfying.

Easton is sneaky swoony. Like after reading the previous books I figured there had to be more to him than meets the eye, but I was not prepared for how good he was here. It turns out he’s not exactly what he led us to believe. He may have been excessively “friendly” with the female student population before Wren, but after initially getting with her? Totally changed. It’s like she gave him a reason to be a better man.

And Wren? She’s feisty and strong, albeit rather stubborn, and she’s not even about to deal with Easton’s antics. I think his character needed someone as strong as Wren to finally make him realize that he’s more than what he comes from and what everyone expects him to be. Their chemistry is off-the-charts good, and I couldn’t get enough of them.

If you love enemies-to-lovers/college-sports romances, then you’re going to want to read Easton and Wren’s story. The spice and Easton’s charm are on point, and the drama will keep you up late reading.

⭐️Tropes⭐️
- Enemies to Lovers
- Sports Romance
- Frenemies w/ Benefits
- Dual POV
- He Falls First

Okay, first things first, Easton set the bar for me! I Waylon and Liam from the first and second books in the series but there was just something about Easton that surpassed everything I was looking for! He’s a player with a heart of gold. Honestly, what more could you ask for?!

This story takes place shortly after Delay of Game which is the second book in the series! I highly recommend reading the books in order versus diving into this book first as you’ll miss a lot of great backstory from the other characters.

You would have already met both Easton and Wren in the previous books and honestly I was waiting for their story! Easton gives off your typical boy next door with a whole lot of ego. He’s charming in a bit of an arrogant way but he can completely back it up! Definitely a top tier ladies man and unfortunately for him literally everyone knows it and brings it up constantly!

Wren is your hardworking and level headed best friend! She’s always going to be there for you no matter what, putting your needs before her own! Unfortunately, as admirable as these qualities are Wren does run into some situations where she is pretty drained and overwhelmed from just running herself ragged. I loved her character and found her very relatable! She was a tough cookie to crack and I was here for her more cut throat attitude! We love a queen with a strong backbone!

I don’t want to give to much away on the storyline but there we’re definitely some heart tugging moments that had me falling for these characters even more! Especially Easton, he could do no wrong in this story for me, I loved him and how much he was willing to put himself out there and be there for Wren! Ugh swooon 🫠😍 Also, we are even going to go in to detail regarding Eastons mouth but good gracious that man!! 🥵🥵🧎‍♀️

Overall, I highly recommend giving this series a read! If you like sports romance that deal with real life struggles while also giving you that round family vibe then this is definitely for you!! 🙌

I cannot emphasize enough how much I did not want this book to end. East turned out all the stops to win over Wren. It may be favorite of the series!

5⭐🏈
We have enemies with benefits, sports romance, forced proximity and hate. The hate that rides a thin line between these two at first.

"“I hate you so fucking much Westfield.”

"Huh. That’s weird . That sounded a whole lot like I want to f*%k you so f*cking bad, East.”

These two have not seen eye to eye and have been quick to let the distaste known. Even when East has been antagonizing Wren for a chance. When she gets home from another long day, East is drunk on his sorrows and spread out on her bed. He shoots his shot, again, and is no doubt surprised when she takes him up on the offer.

These two are partnered up for a marketing project, where they use the bar Wren works at & runs for her grandfather for the project. Meaning they will need to spend a lot of time together.

Wren takes care of her grandfather, the bar , school and barely herself at the end of the day.
East is worried about the draft and what may happen if that dream does not become a reality after college.

Let the hateship begin, when they are roomed together on a friends ski trip.

He offers her an enemies with benefits deal for the week. A week sneaking around amongst there friends proves to be a task. I couldn't help but feel bad for East, where he was ready to shout from the rooftops his feelings for her, she wanted to keep him a secret-not caring to hear their friends opinions. Every time she made a snarky comment to keep up the "dislike" they have for each other, the mention of him frowning broke my heart a little.

The story flowed so well, and as much as Wren wanted to deny him, she couldn't deny her feelings. They both never lied about feelings to themselves, or each other. It all just comes down letting the secret out!

If you haven't read this series, start at the beginning, so you can get the whole effect of Wren and Easts relationship before hands. It's not necessary, but I think it just adds to making this book the best one.
Thank you so much for the ARC Maggie! I loved it!

Easton Westfield is the man on campus that every girl would love to catch the attention of... well every girl but Wren. She cannot stand the likes of Easton Westfield, he irritates her to no end, and every time he's around she does all she can to avoid him. She cannot fall for a guy like that... or can she?

Personal Foul is a spicy tension-filled enemies to lovers story that will have you in dire need of a fan!! These two bring some serious heat to the pages! These two may claim that they don't like one another, but the truth is they can't stop thinking about one another. Mainly about what it would like to give in to their desires, to get their hands on one another, and live out all their fantasies. Then one night they let their guards down and take that leap, one night of fun they say, but when morning comes the desire they had for one another doesn't fade away like they thought it would. It only becomes stronger... now they wonder if they've created a problem they'll never be able to solve.

Once again this author has given me a mesmerizing that I could fully get lost between the pages of, it was impossible to pry my eyes from the words, and once I met these characters I didn't want to let them go. This series is by far one of my favorite literary discoveries of last year and I am thinking will be one of my favorites this year too!! With each new installment that comes the better it gets and just when I think I've found my favorite pairing, another comes along and steals the spotlight! If you like sports romances than I highly suggest you get your hands on this series, it is SO good, I guarantee these characters will steal every part of your heart!!

I requested an advanced of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

3,5 stars:

Things I Liked:
-enemies to lovers trope
-the chemistry between Easton and Wren
-Easton proving everyone wrong (those who said he was just a f***boy and couldn’t be in a relationship)
-Easton’s thoughtfulness (always wanting to help Wren, whether that be financially or emotionally, when he sees her struggling). His actions made it very obvious how much he cared for her
-Wren’s love for her Gramps and the business he built (the bar)
-Waylon, and Ben all knowing about Easton and Wren’s situation yet not telling him to stay away from her or that he wasn’t good enough for her (as I’m sure Liam would have)
-Liv hearing Easton and Wren when they first hooked up yet keeping it to herself and letting them figure things out on her own
-getting a sneak peek into Ben’s story when he and Easton went to the art gallery (seeing how nervous he was around Violet and how unlike him that was)

Things I Didn’t Like:
-more emotional bonding and less sex scenes
-how Wren not only wanted to hide what was going on with East, but she also insulted him to her friends when he was in the next room 😡
-that everyone around Easton (including his closest friends like Liam and Kenz) always thought the worst of him
-how the author doesn’t tell us when the epilogue takes place (6 months? 1 year? 2 years? It could’ve been 10 years later for all we know)

Things I Would’ve Liked To See:
-Easton’s parents. I’m interested to know what their dynamic is - does his (step-) mom treat him differently? Is he in his brothers shadow? Does his dad put a lot of pressure on him?
-more time before Easton proposed (it seemed extremely rushed in my opinion)
-possibly a flashback (or at least more of a reason) as to why Wren disliked Easton so much before she actually got to know him
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Kindle Unlimited: Yes
Stand-alone: Yes**
Author: Maggie Rawdon
Rating: 4/5 ⭐️
Spiciness Rating:3/5 🌶
POV: First Person Dual Perspective
Main Couple: Wren and Easton
Trope(s): College, Sport, Frenemies To Lovers, Secret, Forced Proximity, He Fell First, Reformed Playboy

Personal Foul is my first read by Maggie. And, after I began reading I realized her first two books are interconnected. We are reading about a friend group. Books are interconnected standalone and can be enjoyed independently, but after reading Personal Foul I am interested in diving into the other stories. Easton, this guy, his mouth, and his big, big heart. And, Wren, this strong, independent babe deep down is just a vulnerable heap of bones. This book is low on the angst, high on the heat, and full on the love.

Wren is keeping her Gramp’s dream alive by running his bar while she attends college.

Easton has just had the worst game of his life. The football drop heard around the college stadiums. And, attending a party is the last thing on his mind. So, he escapes to Wren’s room. His frenemy he loves to rile up.

When she comes home to find Easton holed up drunk in her room she makes him an offer that he cannot resist.

But, all she wants is one night.

And, then they get paired up for a class project.

Wren attempts to put distance between them because their frenemies thing is getting muddy.

When they go away for a friend's weekend trip- Easton proposes they enjoy the time together.

Only remembering all the reasons it won’t work between them is getting more and more difficult.

How willing to do for the woman you like?

Without a doubt, Easton's personality made me fall in love.  In the previous books we saw them as jerks and womanizers, but when he has a chance with Wren, he will do everything for her to make her realize that he is the one for her.

Wren has a lot on his plate, with a busy life and a grandfather to take care of, Wren isn't up for relationships, so when she hosts one night and is with the ladies' man from Easton, she doesn't expect him to want more.  And look for ways to give him another chance.

Despite the fact that Wren and Easton's relationship was about the "hate" they had for each other and their disputes, I enjoyed them, only that Wren made me angry that she did not realize that Easton would give everything for her and thought that it was just the moment.  She made him suffer.

Easton did not have it easy, he struggled for Wren to realize his feelings, every detail he did for her (seriously the boy was like an idiot in love with her🤭💕), although he also had many problems, with his future as a player, And of what he would do if it didn't work, he only knew that with Wren by his side he would make it.

I certainly enjoy every book by this writer and how she finds a good rhythm. I can't wait and read Ben and his girl, that glimpse left me wanting.

I recommend it without a doubt

I received this free eARC novel from Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I. Love. East. And. Wren. Seriously, I didn't think I would love their story the most, but boy was I wrong. I loved their bantering and "fighting" and I loved how well they just clicked with each other. I love how strong Wren is and how she's single handily taking care of her gramps bar while being a full time student and everything else she has on her plate. And I love love love East's determination when he finally discovered the amazing of Wren and how much he needs to be around her. This boy is FOCUSED on her and anything to help her. I need an Easton to come swoop me off of my feet!

I love how timid East was too. He really really didn't want to mess up with Wren and what was starting to become a great thing in his relationship.

I am so glad there wasn't a bout of anger and tantrums and misunderstandings in this novel. Don't get me wrong, I like the groveling, but this was just a more mature way of starting a relationship and treading water between the characters.

I honestly have nothing negative to say about this story, which is odd cause one thing or another always gets on my nerves. I honestly to goodness loved every second of this story and I am obsessed with these two characters. Maggie Rawdon is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine and I may just have to squeeze her books on my cramped shelves and start my physical book obsession haha. Can't wait for Ben's story next!

description

The book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the previous books to understand the dynamic of these two characters.
I love Wren's character! She is sassy, and feisty and can go from zero to sixty on Easton's ass in 0.3 seconds. She works hard for the bar and her Grandpa's dream and hates taking handouts. She had been struggling with work-life-school balance and then to throw a wrench into her plans, she makes the mistake of sleeping with Easton. Now she is hooked. their friends' circle know they can't see eye to eye, so now they have to sneak around to see where this leads.
Easton is the rich-boy rockstar of the football field. He can get any groupies he wants, but after a missed pass, he is down in the dumps. One pity hookup with the one girl he couldn't have now leads him to try to show her he is more than just a pretty boy. I enjoyed reading him trying to show Wren his soft side. I loved their interaction and their understanding they are perfect for each other. As I mentioned before, I would recommend reading the previous books to know why they don't like each other to fully enjoy their love story.

After reading the first book Play Fake, I didn't want to give this author more chances mainly due to the safety of the book. But I was curious about East and Wren's story and this blurb sounded really promising... Must admit I was pleasantly surprised!

Easton was a notorious manwhore and not very likeable character in the first book, as I remember. Obviously, the goal of the author was to redeem him as much as possible, and it may seem a little too much at times to be honest. 😊 He became this dreamy boyfriend and there wasn't one flaw on him throughout the whole book. Wren was a tough girl, but she showed her soft side when it came to East. I liked both of them as a couple to be honest, they were supportive of each other, which was super necessary. Getting to the one thing I did NOT like.

Their mutual friends were real assholes when it came to Easton. I especially didn't like the guys' perspective, majority of them used to be manwhores as well, still all of them were breathing down his neck about Wren. The whole book is a proof to the friends that East is actually not a dick, and I think it's really sad that his close friends have no idea, who he is deep down.

The writing is promising, albeit a few things didn't make sense to me, and I honestly hope the author keeps improving her style.
Oh and also hope she gets better covers, cause these are so ugly 😁

4.25 Stars!💗🏈

Having read Play Fake and Delay of Game i couldn't wait for more from this author! As soon as this book was announced i started looking forward to it right away. I picked it up and got right into this story. I really enjoyed it!

Wren and Easton's journey pulled me in right from the get go! Wren and Easton have had hate for each other for some time now. Certain moments can change things, something Wren and Easton know all too well now. Can they give into their attraction and then go their separate ways? or can this game plan of the hearts lead to the touchdown they both need?

Both Wren and Easton had my undivided attention so quickly. I loved the way these two got under each other's skin and the back and forth between them was so entertaining. I didn't know how they'd tackle their feelings for one another and everything in their lives which got me into it even more. The chemistry between Wren and Easton was undeniable and blushworthy! I was glad that i got to dig into their minds and get their real. These two had me feeling it all with them!

It was so awesome being back in this world and getting to see some familiar faces!

With Personal Foul, Ms.Rawdon has created such a great page turner of a read that made me feel so much! I can't wait to dive into the next book Reverse Pass! 💗🏈

I'm a HUGE football fan, like out of control, name my pets after my favorite players to a woman cave to rep my beloved teams (college & pro), so I'm not sure how I came so late to Maggie Rawdon's football world. That being said, at least it's better late than never, as I LOVED LOVED LOVED Personal Foul. Now I'm not saying it's all kinds of crazy football moments, but our MMC (Easton) is a college football player who is dealing with the fact that it's his fault his team lost the championship because of a fumble. His friends decide to throw a party to cheer him up, but it doesn't have the desired effect they were going for, but it sets him on a new course with Wren, our FMC. To this point, Easton has been a player who doesn't go back for seconds, but it took one woman to change it all up. Wren has a full plate with working & full load of classes so she's not one for relationships, but she & Easton hook up that night, and it's only supposed to be one night LOL! He can't get her out of his mind, but she's not having it, so he's chasing while she's resisting, however, the chemistry is electric leading them to a new situation. This story had me turning the pages super fast as I just couldn't put it down, so now I'm going to devour the previous books, and CANNOT WAIT for more going forward! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
